I’d like to learn about the history of rock music. I’ve become interested in it since the movie called Bohemian Rhapsody, which is about the legendary band Queen. I’m deeply impressed by the Live Aid concert and keeps wondering how a type of music could have such a huge influence on people’s lives. I used to think music could only let us relax or trigger some memories and thoughts, but maybe if I know its history and evolution, I’d understand how it could rock our world. Compared with this, composers don’t attract me as much as music does; and after practicing Chinese zither for more than ten years, I’ve got no plan to learn another music instrument.

Which way is better to solve the conflicts between you and your friends: a humorous way or a serious way?

答案示例

When encountering conflicts with friends, I’d try to solve them in a serious manner. Frankly speaking, I’m not even sure what a “humorous way” means and moreover, the friend must be important enough so that I’d want to address the problem between us since otherwise I’ll simply leave the matter as it is. As far as I’m concerned, the best way to reconcile conflicts is through face-to-face conversation. We’d discuss about the problem, listen to each other patiently and try to stand in others’ shoes. Jokes don’t go with such an occasion and sometimes apologizing in a serious way is necessary. I think such an approach shows that we both value our friendship.
