As far as I’m concerned, free music concert would contribute to a better relationship between the school and the local community. Music has no boundary and although people may have different taste in their favorite type of music, we all loves good songs. Besides, the concert could invite singers or bands specializing in a variety of styles and the audience could sing along or even dance to the music. Everyone would enjoy a good time and appreciate the school’s offer. In contrast, library membership may not seem appealing given that there’s usually no shortage of library in town or city; what’s more, local people may not be willing to spend extra hours taking university courses since they’ve all got their own stuff to care about.

The school requires freshmen and sophomores to live on campus. Do you think this is a good idea?

I think it’s reasonable to require that all students live on campus during the first two years in the university. For starters, it helps them adapt to the campus life. Freshmen usually face many challenges, such as getting familiar with different facilities in school, keeping up with all the assignment, and so on. Living in the dormitory saves them the trouble of hunting down a good apartment and dealing with the landlord. Besides, sophomores often face more school work like tons of readings and papers. Living on campus makes it convenient for them to seek guidance from professors and campus staff. In contrast, students in the third year or older could handle their school life well, and then they could share an off-campus house with some friends, which is usually economical and fun.
