I’d like to have a game room in the dorm, which, I believe, would be welcomed by every student living on campus. Dorm is central to students’ life. It offers a place for them to get unwind and socialize with others. If there are some recreational facilities, such as the foosball or the guitar hero, students would enjoy spending time together in the lounge, where they’d not only play games to relax and have fun, but also meet people and make friends. In contrast, study room doesn’t go with the dorm since students usually prefer to work on assignments in the library or classrooms; besides, café is not necessary either since there’re plenty of cafés and restaurants on and off campus and it would simply be a waste of money and space to build one in the dorm.

Some universities require that students attend all courses while others allow students to take some courses based on professors’ requirement. Which one do you prefer?

答案示例

I think students should be allowed to attend part of the courses with professors’ permission. Compared with other university staff, professors are usually more familiar with the course requirement and therefore could make better decisions for students, such as which class could be optional or what projects must be finished. Moreover, not all courses assigned by the school are necessary for students. For example, some universities offer time-management course for the freshmen, yet many students already handle all their tasks pretty well and in fact, such a course would get in the way of their schedule. In this case, students should be allowed to decide whether to skip the class or not according to their own situation.
