1. Always turn on your camera in Prof Konstantin's class because it really matters in your overall marks.

2. Always pay attention in Ethan's maths class because he is very fast, do all his practice questions to train your speed.
在Ethan's教授的数学课，要集中注意力，因为他的课程进度快，可以通过做完他的所有练习题来锻炼你的答题速度。

4. Regularly check the WeChat articles for freshmen tips or talk to your seniors to get help. Seniors will always help!
可以定期查看微信公众号上有关给新生TIPS的这些文章，也可以多和学长学姐交流。他们总是乐于助人的！
5. Pick your teammates wisely and communicate well with them, especially now when it's online learning, teamwork is even harder. Do your projects when you get the instructions instead of waiting till the deadline to finish so that you won't be too busy when finals are near!
要明智地选择有默契的组员，和他们有良好的沟通，尤其上网课学习阶段，合作更是不容易。与其等到截止时间才开始完成工作，不如主动按照指示文称你的工作，这样你在期末就不会太忙碌！
6. Take
推荐你选Javier教授的选修课，因为他真的很有趣，只要上课注意听讲，考试也不会太难。
1. Follow the professor's or supervisor's instructions. If you meet with some problems please do not hesitate to email the person in charge, also please make sure you email the RIGHT person so that the problem can be resolved efficiently. Like Mr.Lemon
要听从教授和辅导员的指导。如果你遇到任何困难，请发邮件给负责相关问题的老师，但要注意你要找到 “对的人”，才能更快更好地帮你解决问题。比如Lemon老师负责学生事务
2. Organize your time wisely. Try not to rush every assignment last minute
合理安排好自己的时间。尽量不要在最后一分钟赶作业，特别是期中和期末的论文，因为截止日期可能在同一周，如果你在最后一分钟赶作业，你会非常疲惫，错过一些重要的分数，导致扣分或造成更多的问题。

4. Learn to use and be familiar with the BB system, WeChat, Tencent meeting (VooV), Teachermate and also the academic records system. They are EXTRA important! There are videos that teach how to use these systems, so make sure you learn, if there are more questions you can try to reach out to your friends, seniors, supervisor and professor, to resolve the problem as soon as possible.
学会熟练使用BB，微信，腾讯会议VooV，TeacherMate和教学系统。这些特别重要！！！有很多指南视频教你使用这些系统，所以一定要先学习，如果有问题，可以问你的朋友，学长，辅导员以及教授老师们，尽快解决问题。

- It's important to manage your time well and try to supervise yourself, and take good use of your time.
做好时间管理很重要，学会主导自己，有效利用自己的时间。
- Attend the class on time since attendance is also a part of your overall score.
按时出勤上课，考勤率占综合总分10%。
- Be active in class to get higher grades.
要想获得更高的分数，上课要保持积极。
- Participating in events or competitions organized by the school or IBS Union will provide extra credits while applying for scholarships.
积极参加学院或者IBSUnion组织的活动和比赛，可以帮你申请奖学金时获得额外加分（10%）
- Economics, mathematics (try to understand the lesson and complete the practices provided by the professor in order to nail the exam).
经济学，数学（努力弄得每一堂课，完成老师给的练习题，为考试做巩固）。
- Business communication (be active in class, take the presentation and try your best in completing the assignments and essays).

1. Make sure that you attend every class. (A dead giveaway, BUT
保证出席每一节课。出勤率是计算总分的一部分，除非有必要，所以不要逃课。如果缺勤，可以先提交请假条。我自己是因为宗教原因会偶尔缺勤，但我会提前发信息告诉教授们，以免课代表忘记或是其他问题发生。
2. Make sure to turn in all assignments and homework, even if you haven't finished them. You still get grades for it.
按时交作业，即使你都没有写完，也要交！这样你仍然可以获得一些分数，不交就是0分。
These first 2 are obvious but don't take them for granted. What you cannot make up for exams, these two will contribute to it.
第二条很重要，但不要觉得理所当然。当你考试不能通过时，这些平时分就会帮到你！
3. If you have questions, like exam dates, assignments, notifications and all sorts of info of some sort you could always ask your classmates, especially the class representative (especially if you are studying in Chinese with Chinese classmates). Also, ask our supervisors, they are always prepared to help. If not, you also have us seniors to help out anyway we can.
如果你有任何问题，比如考试日期，作业，通知以及其他类似的事情，你都可以问你的同学，特别是你的班长（尤其当你和中国学生一起上课时）。此外，也可以问你的辅导员，他们随时为你提供帮助。还有，你也可以问问我们这些学长学姐，我们也会尽力帮助！
4. Math courses are challenging. All I can say is wish you the best. Though at times there is a period of time the school has tutors (seniors) help out with the students, so it would be great for you to keep on the lookout. Me? I just wig it
数学课真的是个大挑战！我能说的就是祝你好运吧！不过有段时间，学院安排高年级学生指导和帮助我们学习数学课。
5. Always keep tabs on your class group chats for notifications, some just appear out of nowhere and last-minute changes and stuff.
经常关注你的班级群聊天和通知，有些通知会突然出现，会有临时的变化等等
6. Make sure to write down your passwords for the school websites and stuff, cause if you forgot...boy it gets hectic calling the office yourself just so they call tell you to call another and the later does the same, till you have 3-4 different #s and wound up with the first # you called. (This tip is especially for the students studying in Chinese) sometimes our supervisors can't help, so you take matters into your own hands. (Patience is key~)
一定要记下你登录学校网站的账号和密码。如果你忘记了，那你不得不给办公室打电话，然后他们联系相关部门去处理。。。转来转去。有时候，我们的辅导员也无法帮忙，最好还是靠自己吧！（耐心是重点）
7. I'm not so worried about those doing their studies in English. SO, for those studying in Chinese, at or nearing the end of the semester...approximately 2-3 weeks before finals. You would have to do a teacher's evaluation thingy. This is essential because if you don't do it you cannot select your classes for the first round...and why is this so bad you ask? Well, the classes you might be interested in will be full and you cannot select them. So you would have to wait much much later for the second opportunity. LOOK OUT for the date is what I am trying to insinuate.
我不担心英文项目的学生。对于中文授课的学生（和中国班级一起上课的），每次学期结束前的2-3周，你要完成教师教学评价。这个很重要，如果你没有完成，那么你无法参加第一轮的选课。你可能会问，会有多糟糕？就是说你感兴趣的课名额已经被选完了，你不能再选。你就不得不等到第二轮有机会时再选。注意选课的日期和时间！！
8.Those studying together with Chinese students must take PE classes for 4 semesters. And swimming is a must. I didn't know this at first. And if you join like a sports club thing, for example, yoga and this wrestling one(not sure what it is really, any who) you don't have to choose PE, since you'll be participating in the club activities and stuff.
和中国学生一起上课的留学生，也要上4个学期的体育课。游泳课是一定要学的。我一开始不太了解。不过你加入了瑜伽或者摔跤的体育社团，那你不必选修体育课了，因为已经参加了相关体育活动和内容。

Advice: Don’t be afraid to find new friends, ask your professors if you have any concerns, and broaden your connection with seniors.
劝告：不要害怕交新朋友，如果有问题可以问教授，建立自己与前辈（学长学姐）之间的联系。
Tips: Be wise when you choose members for a group project. It will hugely affect your performance.
小贴士：当做小组作业时，要明智地选组员，好的队友可以带来整体加分，不靠谱的队友会带不动！（也可以这么说，不怕神一般的对手，只怕猪一样的队友）
Don't underestimate or overestimate yourself. Don't rely on motivations but pursue consistency. Hope you all have a great year :)
不要低估，也不要高估自己。不要过分依赖动机，要追求一致性。希望你有一个愉快的一年！
