On Thursday 7th November, approximately 200 students from within the Nord Anglia (China region) family arrived at BSB to participate in the inaugural U13 and U15 football tournament. 48 of those were BSB students who all contributed to both the event and the extremely high standard of football on show.
In contrast, both the U15 boys and girls teams made a flying start to the tournament, taking no prisoners and achieving maximum points from their opening two fixtures. The U15 girls progressed to final, but not before having to conquer NAISPD in the semi-final with a hard fought 1-0 win. The final saw the girls involved in a battle with BISSPX and when the final whistle sounded, the scores were tied at 1-1. This meant dreaded penalties. After a few nervous penalties, it was down to Elisa Bellillo to save Pudong’s final penalty to set up the chance for Sophia El Alaoui to win the game. Sophia stepped up with confidence and took the chance to crown the U15 girls team. Champions!
The fixture schedule meant BSBs U15 boys’ team didn’t play until Friday morning, giving them the opportunity to observe their opponents. The results from the group stage were fantastic with three wins and one draw, finishing top of the pile and into the semi-final against BSG. A confident and professional performance allowed the boys to progress into the final against BISSPX who they had tied against in the group stage. The boys were physical, composed and clinical in what turned out to be a game dominated by BSB and decided by one goal. YeonHo Bae, in goal, made some fantastic saves throughout the game and the deciding goal, by Avuyile Mgodeli from a perfectly placed free-kick into the top corner saw the U15 boys 2-1 winners.
A huge congratulation to all of the BSB players who contributed to a fantastic festival of football. Special mention must go to Sefa Yilmaz, Avuylie Mgodeli, YeonHo Bae, Nisa Yaylaci, Carla Pavic, Lottie Park, Lorcan Cahill, Louis Dreher and Gaby Kang, who were all selected in the All-Star tournament teams.
Throughout the weekend the BSB Bears supporters were in full voice and showed tremendous support for all of the boys and girls. On behalf of the PE department, I would like to the opportunity to thank all the parents who gave up their weekend and valuable time to support the teams.

U15足球男女队获得冠军！
U13足球男队获得亚军，女队获得季军！
11月7日下午，诺德安达教育集团（中国区）各个学校的约200名学生抵达北京英国学校-顺义校区（BSB），其中我校参赛学生48名，与其他学校师生共同参加了诺德安达全球运动会中国区U13 和 U15 足球比赛的开幕式。每个人都为这场高水准的足球比赛做出了贡献。
U13男队和女队在比赛刚开始的时候节奏比较缓慢，但在接下来的每一场比赛中都一直表现积极，渐入佳境。球场内外家长与同学们的支持和呐喊让球员们更有动力，踢出更好的成绩。在整个比赛期间，球员们展现了良好的团队精神，他们相互鼓励，也展示了他们的球技和对胜利的向往与渴望。
U13女队的比赛中，NACIS抓住了最后机会挺进了决赛，BSB女队惜败只能与BSN竞争第 3/4 名。在这场比赛中，U13 女队球员们表现出色，以2-0的比分击败了BSN队，取得了总成绩第三名的成绩。这是当之无愧的胜利，也是她们精彩表现的回报。
U13男队在开局前两场比赛中的表现低于预期，输掉了前两场比赛。然而第三场比赛表现出现转折，球队顺利赢得了这场以及接下来的两场比赛。这些成绩，再加上随后的比赛成绩，男队最终挺入了决赛，并和 NAISHK 队争夺冠亚军。决赛双方的实力旗鼓相当，两队都顶住了对方的猛烈进攻，最终胜负要以点球方式决出。NAISHK 队顶住压力，以2-1的比分获得了冠军。
相比之下，BSBU15男队和女队在比赛一开始就表现出色，他们勇往直前，在开局两场比赛中获得了最高的积分。U15女队在半决赛中以 1 比 0 的比分艰难地战胜了 NAISPD队，之后，最终获得决赛资格。在决赛中，女队球员们与 BISSPX队进行了一场激烈的比赛；当终场哨声吹响时，比分为 1 比 1 平局。两队又进入了激烈的点球大战在几轮紧张的点球后，BSB守门员Elisa Bellillo 扑救出Pudong的最后一个点球，为 Sophia El Alaoui赢得比赛创造了机会。Sophia 满怀信心地走上前来，抓住机会进了胜利的一球，为BSB赢得了最后的冠军！
在赛程安排中，BSB 的U15男队直到周五早上才开始比赛，这给了他们了解对手的机会。小组赛中获得三胜一平，排名第一的好成绩，在与BSG半决赛中也获得了胜利，最终挺进了决赛与 BISSPX 队对决，这是他们在之前小组赛中曾经打成平局的球队。小运动员们沉着冷静，展现出顽强拼搏的体育精神，守门员YeonHo Bae 在比赛中多次精彩扑救让BSB一直保持优势，Avuyile Mgodeli最终以一个出色的任意球将球射入球门的上角，U15男队最终以2-1比分取得了比赛的胜利。
向所有为这场精彩的足球赛事做出贡献的 BSB 球员表示热烈的祝贺。特别值得一提的是，Sefa Yilmaz、Avuylie Mgodeli、YeonHo Bae、Nisa Yaylaci、Carla Pavic、Lottie Park、Lorcan Cahill、Louis Dreher 和 Gaby Kang 都入选了全明星赛球队。
整个周末，BSB啦啦队在为男队和女队的所有球员呐喊助威。我在此代表体育部，向所有放弃周末和宝贵时间支持球队的家长们表示感谢。
