近来亚裔的暴力事件和仇恨情绪的上升，加上美国政府，尤其是司法部的 “中国行动” 加强了对亚裔与华裔科学家和研究人员的审查和种族定性，已经对亚裔社区造成了无法估量的伤害，这不但伤害了许多人，也破坏了美国的民主制度。这次的座谈会将深入地探讨我们应如何支持这些被波及的群体和其他的亚裔和移民社区，采取行动来保护他们的公民权利，并且推动政策改革。负责立法的议员和民权组织和学术界的代表将分享他们如何参与政策倡导、运用法律资源、和建立论述来为受影响的群体发声，对抗仇外心理的经验。

The webinar will take a deep dive into how we can empower impacted persons and the broader Asian American and immigrant community to take action to protect their civil rights and advocate for policy reform. Policy makers, civil rights organizations, and the academic community will share their insights on topics including policy and advocacy engagement, access to available legal resources, and building narratives to lift up the voices of impacted people and combat xenophobia.
