智力教育就是要扩大人的求知范围

众所周知,要想学好英语,词汇起着重要的作用.如果把语言比作大厦,语法就是建构大厦的结构设计图纸,词汇则是建筑材料.设计的再好,没有砖瓦材料,根本建不起大厦,没有词汇,语法学的再好,也学不好英语的听说读写。

不过,不能让学生孤零零地记忆单词,应该让他们把语法规则、词汇和语音语调整体记忆,音、意、形、用整体记忆。只记住单词的意思远远不够,还要知道这个单词的用法和合适的语境,因此通过文章的记忆比单纯的词汇表记忆有效得多。给学生们精选一些适合的文章显得尤为重要。

小学篇

A Happy Day in Spring

It’s spring. It’s sunny and cloudy today. There are many big trees in the park. Mr. Black’s family have a picnic in a park. They bring many food there. They bring fruit, drink and bread. Mr. Black and Mrs. Black talk with each other. They talk very happily. Ann reads a magazine. Tom likes flying a kite. The kite flies very well. They are hungry now. They want to eat their food. They are very happy.

Stay healthy

Boys and Girls:  

      It is very important for us to keep healthy.

     There are many ways to be healthy. We should eat more fruit and vegetables. We should exercise for at least one hour every day. We need enough sleep and rest , so it is important to go to bed early. Besides, we should wash our hands as often as possible. In my opinion, we mustn’t drink wine or smoke, They are bad for our health. We should also stay away from junk food.  

孩子们：

       对我们来说保持健康是很重要的。

      有很多方法可以保持健康。我们应该多吃水果和蔬菜。我们每天至少运动一个小时。我们需要充足的睡眠和休息，所以早睡是很重要的。此外，我们应该尽可能经常洗手。在我看来，我们不应该喝酒或抽烟，它们对我们的健康有害。我们也应该远离垃圾食品。

Different Countries Have Different Kinds of Englishes

Voyages of people from England play an important part in spreading the English language. At present, English is frequently spoken as an official or common language in many countries, such as America, Singapore, Malaysia and some African countries. All based on British English, the English spoken in these countries can be well understood by native English speakers. But actually, these Englishes have been gradually changing in accents, spellings, expressions and the usage of vocabulary.

Because of this fact, you can make use of the differences to tell which country the foreigners of your block are from. For example, if a boss fluently commands his driver, “Come up straight to my apartment by elevator and take some gas for my trucks and cabs”, instead of requesting, “Please come to my flat by lift and take some petrol for my lorries and taxis”, you can recognize his American identity, while the latter suggests that he is British. 

英国人的航海在英语的传播中扮演了重要的角色。目前，英语在许多国家被作为官方语言或通用语言频繁地使用，例如美国、新加波、马来西亚和一些非洲的国家。这些国家的英语都以英式英语为基础，能很好地为以英语为本族语的人所理解。但是实际上，这些英语在口音、拼写、表达和词汇的使用方面都在逐渐变化。

因为这一情况的存在，你就可以利用这些英语之间的区别说出你们街区的外国人是哪个国家来的了。例如，如果有个老板流利地命令他的司机：“直接搭电梯到我公寓上来拿卡车和出租车的汽油”，而不是要求说，“请直接搭电梯到我公寓上来拿卡车和出租车的汽油”，你就可以轻易地辨认出他的美国人身份，而后者却暗示着那是一位英国人。
