适合背诵的英语文章（十七）

众所周知,要想学好英语,词汇起着重要的作用.如果把语言比作大厦,语法就是建构大厦的结构设计图纸,词汇则是建筑材料.设计的再好,没有砖瓦材料,根本建不起大厦,没有词汇,语法学的再好,也学不好英语的听说读写。

不过,不能让学生孤零零地记忆单词,应该让他们把语法规则、词汇和语音语调整体记忆,音、意、形、用整体记忆。只记住单词的意思远远不够,还要知道这个单词的用法和合适的语境,因此通过文章的记忆比单纯的词汇表记忆有效得多。给学生们精选一些适合的文章显得尤为重要。

小学篇

以“My Last Weekend”为题，介绍你的五一假期是怎样度过的。

My Last Weekend

I was busy last weekend, but I have fun every day. On Saturday morning, I visited my grandma. It was my grandma’s birthday. We cooked noodles together.

In the evening, we watched TV. Sunday morning, I played football with my friends. In the afternoon, I washed my clothes and cleaned my room. What about your last weekend? Tell me, please.

Dear Michael,

You want to know the changes about my hometown. You know, great changes have taken place since 60 years ago.

In the past, the living conditions were very poor. There were not many buses or cars, and the roads were narrow. Usually, a big family was crowed into a small, dark house. Most families couldn’t get enough food. The communications were simple and slow.

People kept in touch with their friends and relatives far away mainly by letter or telegram.

Thanks to the government, our hometown has developed rapidly in recent years. The living conditions are much better and more comfortable. The roads are wide. Some people have their own cars. Most of the people have lived in big new houses. Quite a few adults have mobile phones. Because of many good policies, I think our lives will become better and better.

A Woman Doctor-Lina

Born in a pigs’ nest, Lina led a poor life in her childhood. She was looked down upon by the children of her generation.
