香港颁布相关措施后,日媒《外交家》(The diplomat)立即进行了报道,文章《Hong Kong to End Mandatory Hotel Quarantine for Travelers》中写道:Hong Kong’s leader announced the city would no longer require incoming travelers to quarantine in designated hotels as it seeks to remain competitive and open up globally after nearly two years.
Incoming travelers will also no longer need a negative PCR test within 48 hours before boarding a plane to Hong Kong, the city’s Chief Executive John Lee said Friday at a news conference. Instead, they will need to present a negative COVID-19 result from a rapid antigen test conducted within 24 hours before the flight.
“While we can’t control the trend of the epidemic, we must allow the maximum room to allow connectivity with the world so that we can have economic momentum and to reduce inconvenience to arriving travelers,” said Lee, who also said that authorities will not roll back the measures announced Friday.“虽然我们无法控制新冠疫情的发展趋势,但我们必须留有空间:与世界保持联系,降低旅客的不便;如此才有机会带动经济,”李家超还表示,当局不会撤销周五宣布的措施。He said that there must be a “balance between risks and economic growth.”From Monday, travelers into Hong Kong will have to undergo three days of home monitoring. If they test negative for COVID-19 after three days, they will be allowed into venues such as restaurants and bars. They must also undergo several mandatory PCR tests, including one on arrival, as well as on their second, fourth, and sixth days in Hong Kong, coupled with daily antigen rapid tests every day for their first week. The city’s daily COVID-19 infections have fallen to below 6,000 cases a day, from over 10,000 daily cases early this month. A large majority are local infections.
Organizers said 10,000 Rugby Sevens tickets will go on sale to the public September 28. “The return of the Hong Kong Sevens means business is returning too. And I know we can’t wait for both to fill the stands, and the streets and shops, restaurants and hopefully bars as well,” said Financial Secretary Paul Chan at the Rugby Sevens news conference.“香港国际七人橄榄球赛的回归意味着国际经济活动的恢复。 CNN在两天前也报道了这件事,《Hong Kong offers 500,000 free air tickets to tempt tourists back》文中写道:Hong Kong attracted around 56 million visitors a year before the pandemic, and now the popular destination is taking significant steps to win tourists back after over two years of some of the world's toughest travel restrictions. Just days after dropping its longstanding mandatory hotel quarantine requirement, Hong Kong has confirmed plans to give away half a million airline tickets in a bid to boost tourism. The move, first announced two years ago, was confirmed to CNN by a spokesperson from the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK), which said that the 500,000 tickets, worth around $254.8 million, would go to global visitors, along with residents. Beijing marathon 2022 starts registration on Tuesday and 30,000 runners will compete on November 6, marking the 41-year-old event’s long-awaited return after being canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 epidemic. It will be another important sports event the capital city will hold after the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games. Marathoners on Tuesday hailed the news and many have registered with excitement.
