《Optimization and Forecasting in Industry Operations Research Problems》

内容简介：

In this presentation, the work on the actual and modern industry Operations Research problems is described. Operations Research as a scientific direction covers a wide range of applied research problems lying in the field of industry optimization. Usually, industry optimization also requires a forecast about the future state of the system we want to optimize or control. In order to support the importance of the open research problems, we with the team decided to systematically work on the international industry Operations Research problems related to different application domains. These industry Operations Research competitions are organized by the top international companies with the aim of solving challenging problems for their business, such as Google with drone delivery optimization competition, RTE with maintenance planning problem, Schneider Electric with optimizing battery control competition, competition for smart grid optimization at GECCO conference, ASHRAE and Schneider Electric with energy demand and production forecasting competitions. In the presentation, we show our approach and way of working on such modern industry Operations Research problems. During our work, we try to develop and use state of art optimization and forecasting algorithms, participate in top scientific conferences and publish related research papers.
