GAC Honda to start presale of e:NP1 BEV in May

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On April 25, Honda Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd., (“Honda China”) held an online event to announce the “e:N brand declaration” that embodies the automaker's 70-year car-building genes，and the brand slogan “reshaping the driving fun of EV”.

At the event, the automaker unveiled the market launch plans for its first mass-produced e:N-branded models in China. To be specific, the e:NS1 managed by Dongfeng Honda formally hit the market on April 26, while the presale of GAC Honda's e:NP1 would begin in May.
In October 2021, Honda announced its electrification strategy in China, under which it would introduce the first 10 Honda-brand EV models in China, namely the “e:N Series,” by 2027.

The first set of e:N Series models, the e:NS1 and the e:NP1, are manufactured and sold by Dongfeng Honda and GAC Honda respectively. Both models ride on the e:N Architecture F, Honda's front-wheel-drive (FWD) pure electric platform.
The e:NS1 will come with two FWD power solutions, which deliver a CLTC range of 420km and 510km respectively.
As the sister model of the e:NS1, the e:NP1 made its debut at the Auto Guangzhou 2021 in November last year. Its Chinese name “Ji Pai 1” was unveiled on March 29, when GAC Honda launched the new all-electric vehicle brand “e:NP” (named “Ji Pai” in Chinese).
According to Honda China, both the e:NS1 and the e:NP1 will utilize the “e:N OS” full-stack smart control ecosystem, which integrates the “Honda SENSING” driver-assist system, the BEV-dedicated “Honda CONNECT 3.0” in-car connected system, and a smart digital cockpit. They will be equipped with an advanced HMI (human-machine interface) system, which consists of a 15.1-inch high-definition ultra-thin-frame display mounted at the center console, a 10.25-inch color full-liquid digital dashboard, and streaming media rearview mirrors.
