PATEO, Tencent team up on cloud platform, smart cockpit, mapping

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 6, 2023, PATEO, a leading Internet of Vehicles (IoV) technology service and product provider in China, and Tencent Intelligence Mobility (TIM) penned a strategic collaboration agreement, according to PATEO's press release.

This new partnership is set to encompass numerous areas including cloud platforms, intelligent cockpits, smart-driving maps, intelligent marketing, and overseas expansion. By merging their respective strengths in products, technology, and resources, both parties aspire to offer pioneering solutions to the automobile industry, thus spurring innovative development.

This agreement marks a major stride in the field of smart cockpits and service operations. PATEO will integrate TIM's Intelligent Cockpit TAI product capabilities, aiming to create a secure, efficient, and delightful user experience. Furthermore, leveraging TIM's extensive pan-travel service ecosystem and SaaS platform, the two parties will jointly explore innovative models and schemes in fields such as car interconnection and user operation under different scenarios.

In the area of mapping and navigation, both parties will collaborate based on Tencent's smart-driving maps, LBS location services, and vehicle cloud capabilities, co-developing a new generation of intelligent driving maps, and exploring integrated innovation in mobility services and LBS services.

Regarding cloud services, TIM will provide comprehensive cloud infrastructure support, combining intelligent connectivity, automotive safety, and data compliance capabilities. It will join forces with PATEO to assist automakers in building an efficient and solid cloud base. The alliance will also collaboratively devise overseas solutions for automakers, including overseas data and product compliance, overseas ecological construction operations, etc., thereby helping Chinese automakers explore new growth spaces overseas.
