《理论语言学五道口站》（2020年第36期，总第100期）推出生物语言学及脑科学系列专题。本期视频“这是你的大脑在沟通中的样子”，普林斯顿大学心理学系和神经科学研究所尤里·哈森（Uri Hasson）教授通过实验研究证明，当我们听到相同的想法或故事时，即使在不同的语言中，我们的大脑也显示出相似的活动，或变得“同步”。这一令人惊奇的神经元机制，可以让我们的大脑传递讯号、分享记忆和知识。

人物简介

尤里·哈森，普林斯顿大学心理学系和神经科学研究所教授。2004年，获以色列魏茨曼科学研究所神经生物学系博士学位，其后在纽约大学神经科学中心从事博士后研究工作。2008年，哈森在普林斯顿大学任教，其实验室研究大脑对自然、真实事件的反应。他的研究兴趣在于探究以讲故事的方式进行交流会如何影响人类认知。

Uri Hasson is a Professor in the Department of Psychology and the Neuroscience Institute at Princeton University. In 2004, Hasson completed his doctoral degree in the Neurobiology Department at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel and continued his post-doctoral training in the Center for Neural Science at New York University. In 2008, Hasson joined the faculty at Princeton University, where his laboratory studies the brain responses to natural, real-life events. In particular, he’s interested in understanding how communication through storytelling can affect human cognition.

Uri Hasson: So let me summarize, if everything worked as planned tonight, I used my ability to vocalize sound to be coupled to your brains. And I used this coupling to transmit my brain patterns associated with my memories and ideas into your brains. In this, I start to reveal the hidden neural mechanism by which we communicate. And we know that in the future it will enable us to improve and facilitate communication. But this studies also reveal the communication relies on a common ground.

And think how you change on a daily basis from the interaction and coupling to other people in your life. So keep being coupled to other people. Keep spreading your ideas, because the sum of all of us together, coupled is greater than our parts.
