catalyst 是名词，意思是 “触媒，催化剂”，在英文中用来比喻触发因素，促进因素，生动形象。
请大家注意，这个词常和介词 for 连用，catalyst for sth 这个短语表示引发变化的因素；促使变化的人。例如：

我非常希望这件事终将成为促成变化的催化剂。
