BMC (BASS MUSIC CHINA) 是一個渴求推動香港澳門中國低音音樂為目標之組織和低音文化的平台。由 Terence aka Saiyan 和 Mandy aka Foxy 創立。二人是香港 Magnetic Soul Drum and Bass 團體成員，自 2005 年開始於香港舉辦了過百場音樂活動，於 2012 年成立 BMC，其後108 加入。BMC 音樂取向包括 Jungle、Drum and bass、Footwork、Grime、Garage、Dubstep、Dub 音樂風格。BMC 為不同 Bass Music 音樂人組織活動及亞洲巡迴演出，讓更多人認識來自國際，亞洲以及本地的出色 Bass Music 音樂人。
BMC (Bass Music China) is an organisation that pushes bass music in Hong Kong, Macau, China, as well as it being a platform for all things bass-related.
Beginning their Hong Kong music events streak in 2005, power couple Terence aka Saiyan & Mandy aka Foxy founded BMC together in 2012. It continued to grow as 108 later on became part of the crew, adding extra flavour to the genres including Jungle, Drum & Bass, Footwork, Grime, Garage, Dubstep, Dub.
BMC is one of the few krus in Hong Kong that run strictly-bass music events and Asia tours, promoting international, Asian and local bass artists. Such international/ local/ Asia artists include Shy FX, Mala, Om Unit, Chimpo, Scratcha DVA, Zed Bias, Dom & Roland, Alix Perez, Skeptical, Sam Binga, Moresounds, Fracture, Stray, Jon1st , Kid Fresh, Part2Style, iSOP, Masia One, The Groove Thief, Meng Qi, Siesta, JCC, Cvalda, Man Ngabo & Four Stars, Gravity Alterstra etc.
Partnering with other large music organisations such as Clockenflap Festival, Sónar Hong Kong, Outlook Festival Croatia/ HK, Dimensions Festival Croatia/ HK, BMC strives to create the best musical experience possible for Hong Kong folks.
Mala
Mala 身兼制作人、DJ 、厂牌主理人等多重身份，他的音乐视野对 dubstep 的演化有很深远的影响和贡献。二千年初，dubstep 还在萌芽阶段，Mala 以South London 为基地开始推广他所热爱的音乐， 致力于探索和吸收当时地下音乐场景富饶的音乐养份，例如Big Apple 唱片行、club Forward 在Plastic People 举办的系列派对、和当时还是海盗电台的Rinse FM。他和好友 Coki 及另外 两名伙伴 Loefah 和 St Pokes 组成 Digital Mystikz ，除了开始制作音乐，还举办 DMZ 派对， 这是当时第一个以 dubstep 为主的大型系列活动。
他早期的 dubplate (黑胶测试片) 受到前辈 DJ Hatcha 的青睐并发行于他的厂牌 Big Apple Records。随著作品的累积，厂牌 DMZ 成立并开始发行黑胶唱片，数年过后这些唱片被公认 为 dubstep 的重要基石。像是“Learn” 充分展现Mala 对节奏的独特见解，或是受到7/7 伦敦地铁报炸案启发的作品“Anti War Dub”，他的才华不仅止于令人惊艳的节奏，还有他借由音乐传达理念的深厚内涵。
Anti War Dub
dubstep 从一开始的在地文化逐渐拓展成全国运动，再一路演进成国际浪潮，Mala 始终扮演先锋角色引领 / 凝聚一票死忠乐迷。 Mala 个人厂牌 The Deep Medi 以濳力新血为出发点， 有别于 DMZ 的稳健步伐，2012年 已发行 58 张 12 吋黑胶和 7 张专辑。 Mala 于 2010 年在 DMZ 发行专辑 “Return II Space” 。
他的作品还被电影“Children of Men” (人类之子) 相中当成电影配乐，让他有机会可以跨国和有相同理念的制作人交流、建立关系和炮制混音作品，例如NYC 的Francois K、 Basic Channel 的Moritz Von Ozwald、Grace Jones 和Lee “Scratch” Perry...等。不论是音乐场景、活动规模、与大咖或电影合作，这些看似成功的指标对 Mala 来说都不算太重要，他始终最在乎的还是对声音的探索，以及如何把他对音乐的理念透过频率和谐波用一种泰然、能量充满又平静的方式传达给他的听众。
其实仍有很多好音乐只以黑胶形式发行，也因此许多次文化圈里的独立创作者只发行黑胶，不制作数位格式音乐。 DJ Mala他从不发行数位音乐，现在仅有少数创作者会坚持这个作法了。而且他的《Theo Parrish》混音专辑发行沒多久就能以一张五十欧元的价格完售！
Gilles Peterson喜好专研各种音乐，2009年起他將重心放在巴西与古巴音乐上，尤其是古巴，他为了挖掘当地有才华的音乐人进而发起Havana Cultura计划，后来衍伸出的多张作品中最让人印象深刻的便是2012年发行、由Dubstep先锋Mala跑遍全岛与不同音乐家合作的【Mala In Cuba】。这张在Peterson于2006年开设的厂牌Brownswood Recordings发行，旗下的Ben Westbeech、Ghostpoet與Jose James等艺人可各个都是狠角色。
Mala is a producer, DJ, label owner and visionary best known for his contributions to the scene known as dubstep. But to people who have been touched by his music or moved by his DJing, he holds deeper place in their hearts. Through certain frequencies, his music carries a message that fundamentally connects people.
Mala began spreading this message from South London in the early ‘00s, when the dubstep scene was a tiny, ignored community of likeminded individuals, committed to exploration and imbibing of subsonic frequencies in locations like the record shop Big Apple, club Forward>> at Plastic People and pirate station Rinse FM. He formed production outfit Digital Mystikz with one friend Coki and by adding two others, Loefah and St Pokes, they launched the DMZ night, the first club night to share dubstep on a wider scale.
His music was first cut to dubplate and played by pioneering DJ, Hatcha and released on his label Big Apple Records. As the music began to flow, the DMZ label was born to share it on vinyl and now, years later, those records are viewed as foundational dubstep milestones. Tracks like “Learn” displayed Mala’s breathtaking and intuitive sense of rhythm, while “Anti War Dub” – played the weekend after the 7/7 London tube bombings – showed both Mala’s talent for uplifting percussive groove but his ability to express message and meaning through his music.
As dubstep began to shift from tiny collective to national and then international movement, Mala was at the forefront of the wave, able to take his frequencies to ever increasing audiences and communities. The Deep Medi label was formed and began showcasing likeminded production talent from beyond the DMZ stable, releasing to date, 58 12” vinyl singles and 7 artist albums. Mala himself released his longplayer “Return II Space.” His music has been used in major motion pictures (“Children of Men”) and he has had the opportunity to remix and connect with likeminded artists from other movements like NYC’s Francois K, Moritz Von Ozwald from Basic Channel, Grace Jones, and Lee “Scratch” Perry, amongst others. This year he launched his new night System.
Fundamentally however, scenes, gig sizes, notable collaborations and major motion picture soundtracks are milestones of little import to someone like Mala. What was and remains central to him is his deep connection with sound and his ability to create frequencies and harmonics that share that connection in a way that blissfully, powerfully and peacefully unifies all those who listen.
Saiyan
Saiyan a.k.a. Terence常驻香港和澳门，于1990年开始涉足不同类型的音乐， 2002年他作为澳门传奇乐队 Dr.的成员之一开始演出。Saiyan 于2005年加入了 Magnetic Soul 成为 Promoter 和DJ 。 DJ风格以 Jungle、Drum and Bass、Footwork、Dub 、Bass Music为主。Saiyan 亦是 BMC (Bass Music China) 的创办人。Outlook Festival, Dimensions Festival HK 的主办人。 2012 年创立了BMC(Bass Music China)。推动低音音乐文化。于香港及澳门组织大型音乐派对, 创办了被誉为【历史性一刻】的首个澳门低音派对 Bass Attack。为香港和澳门之低音文化交流,起了关键作用。曾举办的派对及同场演出的各国际级 DJ 同场，其中包括 Shy FX, Roni Size, LTJ Bukem, dBridge, Calibre, Marcus Intalex, DRS, Ed Rush & Optical, Total Science, DJ Fresh, Spectrasoul, SPY, Black Sun Empire, Moresounds, Om Unit, Sam Binga, Chimpo, Scratcha DVA, Fracture, Part2Style, Ant TC1, Enei, Alix Perez, Klute, Utah Jazz, DJ Randall, Outrage, DJ Makoto, Skeptical, DJ Fu, Sonic等, 也出现在各大音乐节如澳门电子音乐节、香港电子音乐节、Secret Island Party、香港最大型的音乐节 Clockenflap。、Sonar HK音乐节以及全球最大型的低音音乐节 克羅地亞 OUTLOOK音乐节、日本東京OUTLOOK音乐节、Freespace音乐节担任 DJ 角色。在克羅地亞、日本、香港、上海、广州、深圳、澳门等多个城市演出。
Base in Hong Kong and Macau, Saiyan a.k.a. Terence started to get into different kind of music since 1990 and in a Macau band called Dr. in 2002. He started to DJ and spin Jungle, Drum and Bass, Dub in 2007.
He is the founder of Bass Music China (BMC) which promote Bass Music Culture in Asia. Organiser of Outlook Festival Hong Kong & Dimensions Festival Hong Kong. He founded the first Dnb / Dubstep event - Bass Attack in Macao, which was named as "The Historic Moment" in the Bass music scene of Macao.
Saiyan joined Magnetic Soul in 2005 and founded Bass Music China in 2012 and brought several International DnB DJs into Hong Kong and Macao. Artists he brought to Hong Kong and supported such as

Daniel Power
Daniel Power 是活动厂牌 Unchained Aisa 的主理人，他在中国致力推广高质量Bass音乐。之前曾在Sector担任音乐总监和常驻DJ，他带着许多顶尖的艺术家在深圳的首秀中一起度过很多难忘的派对。在此之前，他还曾是 Bang Club 的常驻DJ，每周推广他自己喜爱的音乐以及建立深圳的Bass音乐场景。到2018年Daniel找到了自己的新据点 OIL，希望能继续创造更多传奇的Unchained的夜晚。他曾在中国许多顶尖的俱乐部演出过：Dada (Beijing), Dada, ALL, The Shelter, The Manision (Shanghai), Hangover (Guangzhou), Vervo (Kunimng), OIL, Sector, Magma, Bang (Shenzhen) XXX (Hong Kong)等。他还曾与Drum & Bass 音乐人：dBridge, Dom & Roland, Fabio, DLR, Arkaik, Logistics, Makoto, Randall, DJ Zinc, The Prototypes, DJ SS, Roy Green & Protone, Danny Wheeler, Fractale, Stray, Jon1st；UK Bass / Dubstep : Flava D, Goth-Trad, Swindle, Kode 9, Joe Nice, Addison Groove, Madam X, Dehousy, Starkey, KOROstyle；House / Techno : AC Slater, Jozef K, James Trystan, Adriana Lopez, Trus'Me, AudioHell, Etapp Kyle, Bryan Kasenic等多名艺术家同台。
In just a short space of time Daniel Power (London, UK) has become one of the most well known and respected DJs/promoters in southern China. He is the founder of two events brands focused on pushing the underground music scene in China. Unchained for DnB and Detached for Techno. He was the Music Director and main resident DJ at Club Sector (SZ); resident DJ at Bang Club (SZ) for the last 2 years and regular DJ and promoter at Hangover (GZ).
