写一篇好的乐评耗时耗力，但很多时候这样的付出很少得到相应的回报。所以写音乐博客并非Chris的主业, 他真正的工作其实是一名大学教授, 在著名的早稻田大学任教。没有商业初衷, 他和朋友只是真诚地推荐自己所爱的音乐。
事实上每一位音乐人自身也是资深乐迷, 博客评论空间将所有乐迷连接起来。比起那些主流大网站RA, FACT, Pitchfork, Junoplus, Quietus, 音乐博客始终保持着自己的独立性, 当然也包括批判性。Chris活跃在文字世界里, 留下不少犀利的评论, 字里行间处处体现了他饱满的个性和深刻的见地。
Say Yes曾邀请过的嘉宾Bunker New York驻场Eric Cloutier曾提到:
"我曾是博客讨论区表现最为活跃的成员之一, 每次都留下很多评论, 也因此与Chris结缘, 在MNML SSGS关闭前有幸贡献了两期podcast。我感到在这是一个既能解读新音乐，又能通过外界资源听到那些小咖DJ作品最好的网络平台之一...”
当时很多音乐界的重要人物都在论坛区互动, 他们也受到Chris的邀请制作podcast, 并首次到日本演出。无论线上线下, 博客把大家联系到了一起，实实在在地推动了整个音乐场景。

MNML SSGS博客虽然已经画上了句号, 但Chris从未停止他的音乐探寻之路, 转而将更多精力投注在DJ和主题活动上, 依旧在电子音乐场景中占有重要的一席之地, 承担着强而有力的声音, 只不过换了一种方式。
MNML SSGS派对是一种线下的实体延续, 近期邀请的嘉宾包括Silent Servant和Aurora Halal, 但他也时刻不忘积极推广像Wata Igarashi和Sapphire Slows这样优秀的本土制作人。
除了MNML SSGS派对, Chris还联合创办了一些比较有意思的活动：
- Sound Garden (音乐花园)
风格以chill out为主, 播嘉宾时常会播放一些氛围/实验音乐
- Art Aquarium（艺术水族馆)
Chris和Wata Igarashi在一个未来感十足的水族馆里, 播放音乐, 并被巨大的水箱和成千上万的热带鱼包围着, 这个新奇的设定和带来了大量观众。两人密切的友谊使他们在诸多合作中迸发出各种不同的灵感火花。
活跃在DJ场景里的Chris, 以他独树一帜的现场圈粉无数。他与众不同的风格和高质的选曲获得了众多国际人可和邀请: 已陆续为Resident Advisor, XLR8R, The Bunker, Smoke Machine等重要平台贡献podcast。
他的DJ通过探索温暖的旋律接入techno和electro, 在国际舞台的影响力也日益彰显: The Bunker New York, 在Berghain举办的Elektroakustischer Salon, 巴黎的Concrete。
除了这些世界顶级俱乐部和派对演出, 他也收到国际重要音乐节的邀请: 柏林Atonal, Nachtdigital, 葡萄牙Orbits, 纽约Sustain Releas,日本Rural和台湾Organik。特别是最后两个亚洲的音乐节也让中国的乐迷们开始更加熟悉他。
而他在音乐节上, 收到的良好反馈, 让他成为每年的固定嘉宾。Chris认真对待每一次机会, 为大家介绍全新的音乐, 有时也许依旧夹杂者锋芒的言辞, 但仍不遗余力地支持和推动本土场景和他所一路推崇的本土艺术家。

Say Yes is super excited to have Chris SSG who's best known as the co-founder of MNML SSGS, a music blog recognized as a leading source of critical insight on electronic music. Following MNML SSGS made its final post in 2012, he has devoted his energies to DJing and organising parties,remained an important voice in electronic music since then, cohosting a series of chill out parties in Tokyo called Sound Garden.
As a DJ, Chris SSG has taken a less common approach, focusing primarily on ambient and experimental music. He has been developing a distinctive approach that has a similar structure and feel to a techno set, only it is aimed more at the head than the feet.
His style has been illustrated with mixes for podcast series including Resident Advisor, XLR8R, The Bunker, Smoke Machine, and Mysteries of the Deep, and has also curated a Japan showcase for Electronic Explorations. His DJing explores warm melodies, midtempo grooves through to techno and electro.
The past years were something of a breakthrough for Chris as a DJ, with gigs at Berghain’s Elektroakustischer Salon, Concrete Paris and The Bunker New York, as well as major festivals including Berlin Atonal, Germany's Nachtdigital, Orbits, Sustain-Release in upstate New York, Japan's Rural and Taiwan's Organik.
At these events and others around the world, Chris helped prove something fans of ambient have long known to be true: that at the right parties and festivals, this music can be absolutely vital, offering an experience totally different from beat-driven dance floor sounds.

He has been Hoodoo's resident star DJ for many years and has played in countries all over the world.

Hoodoo组织的主要DJ之一苏格兰音乐人Reedle十分擅长在Techno, Funk, Disco, Dub间自由出入，他懂得如何用最恰当的方式将舞池点燃。在过去3年他曾在许多俱乐部留下演出足迹，如Sub Club等。
Reedle is one of the smoothest and most naturally gifted DJ in Guangzhou. An understated master of the warm up who moves effortlessly between Techno and Funk, Disco and Dub. He is a truly versatile DJ with eclectic taste and skills making him one of the finest mood setters in the city.
The Scotsman is a Glasgow native, musically raised in venues such as the Sub Club. has been an ever present Hoodoo resident for more than three years and eventually makes his debut at OIL.
