在英国成熟的地下音乐文化氛围中成长的制作人Minor Science，对他而言音乐制作是一场小型科学实验，他通过音乐作品所传达的态度是大胆而独一无二的。这样的精神加上对作品的高标准要求，使得他在至今为止短短4年的音乐制作生涯中，从不缺乏关注和认可，迅速成长为伦敦重量级先锋电子音乐厂牌Whities的关键人物。
2014年他开始以制作人的身份出现， 在圈内权威厂牌The Trilogy Tapes旗下发行了首张实体EP「Noble Gas」，其中与Hessle Audio 主理人之一英国制作人Ben UFO联手打造的单曲“Hapless”，被知名音乐平台The Wire评论为“耳朵能找到的最愉悦的致幻剂。”

「Whities 008」
2015年，Minor Science成为Whities的旗下一员，同年以12寸黑胶的形式发行了他的第2张专辑「Whities 004」、以磁带的方式发行的第3张专辑「Absent Friends」混音系列，并在德国、荷兰、法国、意大利、西班牙以及英国展开了一系列的演出。

他的音乐愈加丰富和具有令人无法抗拒的攻击性，很快就俘获了欧洲各大城市的舞客，成为欧洲地下音乐现场最令人期待的凶狠角色之一。
次年，Minor Science的第4张专辑「Whities 008」诞生，其中收录的单曲“Naturally Spineless”被英国音乐平台The Quietus评论道：“Minor Science的音乐是一个糅合了千禧年初期的Dubstep和Dark Garage音乐中所有令人亢奋的元素的集合体，并在某种程度上成为全新的风格。”

2017年，以12寸黑胶及数字专辑的形式发行了「Whities 012」，被认为是“挑战风格界限的低音实验”。
其中的单曲“Volumes”在短短2个月内被FACT, Mixmag, Crack Magazine, XLR8R, Resident Advisor等各大权威电子音乐平台刷屏，被FACT平台收入在“2017年度FACT最爱的Techno单曲”榜单中。
除了制造出许多经典的个人单曲，Minor Science更是十足的多面好手，最近他惊艳的再混音单曲“Stairfoot Lane Bunker”吸引了难以置信的收听率；2017年末以限量磁带的形式发行的氛围混音辑「Absent Friends Vol.2」被美国权威音乐平台Pitchfork评选为“2017年最佳混音系列之一”…

9月1日，OIL诚意巨献：最值得期待的伦敦先锋制作人Minor Science在中国的首次演出，给9月的第一个星期六来点新鲜的刺激。
Minor Science has come a long way in his career, transforming from a leftfield house explorer into an engineer of hybrid, hi-tech music which doesn’t quite sound like anything else out there.
His debut, 2014’s Noble Gas EP for connoisseur label The Trilogy Tapes, showed promise: its lead track, “Hapless”, was played extensively by DJs like Ben UFO, and was described by The Wire as, “a pleasing clip round the ear.” The British producer has since become a key figure on Nic Tasker’s fast-rising Whities label, reflecting the label’s preference for unique artists with a bold sonic direction.
Three records for the label have seen Minor Science move both forwards — his music has become crisper, richer and more distinctive — and backwards, drawing on his formative experiences as a clubber in London’s dubstep scene and a longterm fascination with the UK’s dance heritage. 2016’s “Naturally Spineless” was described by The Quietus as, “mixing up all the best elements of dubstep and dark garage from the early half of the last decade in a way that is wholly new.” His biggest track yet, 2017’s “Volumes”, featured on end of year lists from FACT, Mixmag, Crack Magazine, XLR8R and Resident Advisor.
Beyond his solo records, he has recently shown his versatility with curveball remixes (his cubist jungle version of Special Request’s “Stairfoot Lane Bunker”, which racked up hundreds of thousands of streams), ambient mixtapes (Absent Friends Vol II, dubbed one of 2017’s best DJ mixes by Pitchfork) and the odd bit of singing (his DEEK-released cover of The Blue Nile’s “Heatwave”).
The producer’s hybrid vision is reflected in his precise, frenetic DJ sets, which enact striking collisions of techno, electro and UK sounds. His recorded mixes have routinely featured in best-of roundups from Pitchfork, Crack Magazine and FACT.
