10/12 就像凌晨3点那口威士忌一样有劲
尽管俱乐部营业时间只能到凌晨3点、经历过经济大停滞以及近年脱欧和人民申请苏格兰独立...但丝毫不影响英国苏格兰格拉斯哥地下音乐场景的蓬勃发展。这座充满叛逆、活力和创新精神的城市，孕育了许多国际知名厂牌的地方，包括近年来的新生独立黑胶厂牌All Caps。
10月12日，厦门地下派对组织/电台Beatween呈现：英国音乐人/Rinse FM常驻音乐人/厂牌All Caps主理人——BAKE!

当提到Bake，便不得不提他与好友(Ryan, Matt)共同创办的厂牌ALL CAPS。ALL CAPS没有特定的音乐方向，经过一张张高质量的12寸依然保持低调、独立和只做黑胶发行。Bake承认这是十分个人的选择，他们想要音乐拿在手上那分触摸感。
曾发行过Kowton, Helix, Karenn ( Blawan和Pariah) , Ekranoplan ( Julio Bashmore和Kowton的组合）及Alex Coulton等制作人的作品。并且有Will Bankhead (Trilogy Tapes厂牌主脑）和Lanark Artefax (他在Whi.ties的发行入选RA 2017最佳曲目）参与唱片封套创作设计。而让ALL CAPS真正名声大噪的是Helix的Stacks Riddim，Bake在最初收到demo时，简直不敢相信自己的耳朵，居然有这样子音乐的存在。他马上把它分享给身边的DJ好友，但因为苦苦找寻合适的唱片封套设计而迟迟没有正式发售。而网上流传的Rinse FM录音早已把此曲吵得沸沸扬扬。

点击边框调出视频工具条https://v.qq.com/txp/iframe/player.html?width=500&height=375&auto=0&vid=u0732i7wnal当时的整个UK正处于后dubstep时期，厌倦了dubstep模版的新一代制作人尝试了许多新奇的风格碰撞，出产了极多破格的音乐。比如像Hessle Audio, Swamp81, Night Slugs这些厂牌就是其中的代表。而ALL CAPS在当时看来，就是Grime和Techno结合的先锋。Kowton - TFB和Ekranoplan - Coil都是成功结合这两种音乐风格的例子。

Bake在某晚特意捧场Hessle Audio (Ben UFO, Pearson Sound, Pangaea)在Fabric 主厅的首次Takeover。当晚让他非常惊奇的是，Helix - Stacks Riddim被5个DJ分别在Fabric俱乐部的3个厅内播放。这还竟然是发生于这张唱片发售后的一年。
Bake与时下许多UK领军DJ/制作人，皆来自FWD俱乐部时期Dubstep的背景。从2010年开始，Bake便展示出极具天赋的Dj技巧，受Objekt, Ben UFO, Jackmaster, Joy Orbison, Loefah等地下大咖们的邀请一同分享混音台。而属于Bake自己的Rinse FM时段，是大受听众们喜爱的节目。“电台是我们厂牌一切的起源和基础，同样我也在借着这样的机会创造一个特别的播放/聆听空间，可以让我和我的嘉宾播放一些在其他Rinse FM秀中不容易接触到的音乐”Bake说道。

Singh, better known as Bake, is a co-founder of All Caps and a DJ who, despite having only played out for three years, is widely regarded as one of the city's most talented selectors. Reared on FWD-era dubstep, he has since found himself incorporating everything from downtempo Moodymann classics to aggressive techno-grime hybrids.
Glasgow based record label ‘ALL CAPS’ is a modern-day independent in its sincerest form. When people romanticise about running their own record label, imprints like ‘ALL CAPS’ are really what they hope to emulate. From humble beginnings the label has gained a reputation for releasing ‘must-hear’ (Kowton, DJ Guy, Bluntman Deejay and Ekranoplan) records and continues to substantiate its growing stature off the back of every release. Tried, tested and to this point true, their releases have faithfully placed the motivation on the tracks themselves, gathering momentum organically and fostering the space for each offering to exist individually, as well as part of a wider collective catalogue. It might sound easy, but consistently finding music that moves people is no simple task. Here is where we find the essence of what makes ‘ALL CAPS’ a special entity.
Being devoted and passionate are undoubtedly key in any form of success but working hard and loving what you do can still so often come up short, particularly in music where passion for the art is so fervent. These attributes, commendable as they are, lack regulation. They are boundless and multi directional. Without rationale, foundation and belief, the keenness behind these great motivators quickly fades and more often than not, extenuating circumstances foot the bill for failure. As a young man, Bake has quarry loads of enthusiasm but as one part of the team that heads up ‘ALL CAPS’ he has marked sensibilities and thorough grounding in what the label is trying to achieve and what the music they release should mean.
With a unquestionable sense of self-deprecation and a tangible aura of quiet, Bake describes just how far the label has come in its few short years, his rise as a DJ, his Rinse FM programme and coping with the pressures that success in music can arouse.
It’s through the label, the radio show and his DJing that Bake has established real life friendships with the likes of Karenn and the Hessle Audio crew, and Ben UFO in particular seems like an inspiration to Bake: “It’s no surprise that I look up to Ben hugely, he’s really paved the way for DJs being able to play a broad range of different music, from strange to functional, and still draw a huge following. It’s very encouraging for aspiring DJs. He’s a good guy.” Bake’s own DJ status seems on the precipice of being considered established as opposed to aspirational; he’s just signed to a booking agency for the first time, been invited to submit a mix for a widely respected podcast series, and All Caps have joined an impressive line-up for the Numbers curated festival Pleasure Principle later this month. “I still can’t believe I’ve been able to do what I’ve done so far. I’m very grateful.” As he succinctly puts it, “it’s a dream come true.”
Yet Bake still places a huge emphasis on ensuring that the radio show remains the foundation of All Caps: “utilizing radio and all the aspects of it is something I’m really looking forward to concentrating on this year – it’s something I’ve put a lot of thought into, just gotta put it into motion.”
As a selector, Bake is held in the highest regard by some of the most eminent people in underground music. Comparisons are often made between Ben UFO and yourself. Bake found that super flattering definitely, and he really looks up to Ben and what he’s achieved, but in a world where it’s easy to speak and be heard, trying to emulate what he’s doing is very counter productive. He thinks finding one's own voice in a conversation is important and those comments only push him forward in doing that.
Knopha
现居厦门来自广州的Knopha是DJ/制作人，活动厂牌Beatween的联合创始人。他的作品曾被北京独立音乐唱片燃音乐以及上海/东京Bass、Grime类先锋厂牌Push and Pull发行。创作和混音之余，Knopha一直在尝试进行对跳舞音乐多样性和可能性的探索。
从80年代到现今，Disco到Techno、House，从纽约到芝加哥，底特律，柏林和伦敦， 他在DJ的过程中透露出一种独特的视野与哲学，使舞客过耳难忘。
Knopha is a Xiamen based Cantonese DJ/Producer, co-founder of events promoter Beatween. His music has been released by Beijing independent electronic imprint Ran and Shanghai/Tokyo bass and grime frontier ‘Push and Pull’. In either his own production or dj mixes, Knopha always attempt to explore the variety and possibility of dance music, not to be conformed by the usual House and Techno.

佳明
来自北京的Beatmaker / MC / DJ ／唱片卖家, 是地下说唱团队Itsogoo的制作人之一。他同时为厦门地下活动推广Beatween掌控话筒，在录播Podcast节目Beatween Radio中，你都能感受到Jiaming北方大男孩的友善和热情。
从2010年移居厦门，生活节奏的改变，启发了他创作了「就是玩儿」，和与Raz合作的「周二店休」 两张Beats／Instrumentals 专辑，并分别于日本的Elevation 和 英国的Mimm 发行。
Itsogoo成军近10年，在2017年发表了最新专辑「宇宙岛民」并于全国巡演，获得了Noisey，Wooozy和虾米等媒体的关注。而在混音台背后的佳明会展示出对跳舞音乐热爱的另一面，尤其是House和Disco。在刚刚过去的2018年混凝草音乐节，他更被邀请到Yurt舞台DJ。
Jiaming is a Chinese underground Hip Hop scene mainstay. He is a producer / DJ / rapper of Beijing Hip Hop group Itsogoo, and also a record dealer. These days, he is the main host for Beatween’s parties and events, as well as the crew’s podcast show Beatween Radio. Jiaming’s passionate and approachable presence always impresses the crowd.
After moving to Xiamen in 2010, Jiaming took the inspiration from his living environments, and created “就是玩儿”(Just For Fun) and “周二店休” along with fellow beatmaker Raz. Two Beats/ Instrumentals style album that were released by Elevation (Japan) and Mimm (UK) respectively.
In 2017, marking the 10th anniversary of Itsogoo, they released a new album “宇宙岛民” (Universal Islanders) and kicked off a 9-city tour across mainland China. The album received positive feedback from Noisey, Wooozy, Xiami and etc.
