这个来自美国的音乐厂牌、艺术家组织已经不是第一次闯入我们的视野了。被时尚音乐杂志The FADER称为“夜生活救世主”、音乐媒体XLR8R称为“专为女性提供的派对伦理学”的他们吸引着更多人的目光。

代表着纽约女性艺术家群体，跨性别艺术家群体和酷儿艺术家群体 (LGBTQ) 的Discwoman由来自纽约的经纪人/宣传者Frankie Decaiza Hutchinson, 活动发起人Christine McCharen-Tran 和DJ/制作人Emma Burgess-Olson aka Umfang 发起。
起初受不了俱乐部文化深受性别歧视和白人至上以及以男性为主的Techno场景的他们正着手打破这一切。
2014年在布鲁克林举办了一场为期两天的音乐节，便一拍即合在纽约开始了Discwoman的旅程，为女性、LGBTQ+人群、非二元人群和有色人种重新夺回俱乐部的舞池和舞台。

第一场派对结束六个月后，三人成立了一家名为DW Artists的经纪公司。Frankie同时也成为Emma aka Umfang的经纪人，截止到现在，他们DW花名册(专门代表女性和性别酷儿人才)的艺术家有: Akura,Ariel Zetina, Bearcat, Bergsonist, Bonaventure, BR0NZ3_G0DD3SS, Ciel, DJ Haram, Juana, Mobilegirl, Riobamba, Serena jara, SHYBOI, Suzi analogue, stud1nt, Umfang, Volvox, Ziúr。

Discwoman成立至今，除了各大媒体不断的报道与关注，在2018年的十月她们受邀并与鞋履品牌Reebok进行新系列的推广合作，她们传达的能量及影响力都可见一斑。
在加拿大多伦多还住着另外一位Discwoman的旗下干将，如果提起2018年最受瞩目地下制作人和DJ那绝对非她莫属：

Equaliser由一小撮拥有不同背景，不同性别认知，不同音乐偏好的DJ在2017年于英国利兹创建，初衷是为了在音乐领域内培养并推广女性，跨性别人和非二元性别人群中的人才，通过互相帮助与扶持来改善音乐行业内性别不平等的现状。
他们会定期举办面向女性、跨性别和非二元性别人士的DJ工作坊，不定期的讨论会，和由这个群体组织、呈现的跳舞派对，为那些缺乏机会但对电子音乐充满热情的人提供培训、设备和上台表演的机会，也给志同道合的伙伴们提供一个相互认识与交流的空间。
Equaliser的成员们主要出没于利兹多个LGBTQ+及酷儿派对，包括一票难求的Gay派对Love Muscle，变装皇后和酷儿们最爱的Houseplay和利兹最大的DJ组织Brudenell Groove。在成立一年多的时间里，Equaliser举办了多场派对，其中包括纽约最受瞩目的制作人Yaeji在英国北部的首场演出和由芝加哥元老级DJ Eris Drew领衔的酷儿派对，活动一经公布便已售罄。
随着国内的地下舞池对酷儿文化越来越开放，“Party for Everyone”的Equaliser希望在国内能通过这个平台去创造不同人群之间更开放的对话，通过提供一个无门槛的、安全舒适的平等空间，用音乐来表达Ta们的性别观念和身份认同。
About Equaliser：
Equaliser is a Leeds-based DJ collective formed in 2017 by a group of DJs from different background with different identity and music preferences. We aim to nurture and promote the talent of cis-women, trans women, non-binary and trans people to help each other and improve gender equality within music industry.
We host monthly DJ workshops and occasional talks and panel discussions for non-cis men, helping to highlight new talent and offering access to an intimate, safer space to practice and learn. We also put on parties open to everyone, celebrating the talent and artistry of DJs and performers who are underrepresented in the music industry and creating an occasion for people with similar ethos to meet up and communicate.
The collective has roots in a number of LGBTQ+, queer and non-cis male focused nights in Leeds, including the sell-out gay party Love Muscle, drag queens and queers’ favorite party Houseplay, and Leeds’ biggest DJ collective Brudenell Groove. Equaliser cemented its reputation this year with a sell-out party headlined by Yaeji, her north UK debut, leading the gender representation discussions at the inaugural Inner City Electronic festival and bringing the Chicago classic Eris Drew to Wire.
As the queer culture bloomed in China’s underground music scene, with the faith of “Party for Everyone,”, we hope to open conversations between different crowd, create a safer space for people to express their identity as they wish.

Ciel（Cindy Li）是近年来最被看好的多伦多制作人、DJ、音乐现场组织人和电台主持人。她的DJ set被Mixmag，Resident Advisor，Crack和红牛音乐学院评为最不容错过的演出，发行的两张EP在2017年和2018年的各种年末歌单里都榜上有名。
- 权威音乐媒体Resident Advisor的专栏Breaking Through 还特地飞去加拿大与Ciel进行访问。
在过去的七年里，Ciel通过她在国际上受到好评的 “It’s Not U It’s Me” 派对和专门播放女性艺术家创作音乐的 “Work in Progress” 广播节目和派对，曾邀请过像Lena Wilikens, Powder, UMFANG 这样的音乐人。 向公众倡导舞曲中的平等、包容和安全空间，对电子音乐行业产生了很大的影响。

2017年末，Ciel在Shanti Celeste旗下的Peach Disc发行了首张介于Electro和Progressive House之间的EP 《Electrical Encounters》。

梦幻的旋律，紧凑的鼓点和纤细的合成器融合在一起织就了一张柔和又有活力的EP。也因此，这张EP一经推出便收到了来自 Noisey、Resident Advisor、Mixmag 等多家电子音乐媒体杂志的好评，登陆多个年度榜单。毫无疑问，这是Ciel多年来致力于地下音乐事业的一个最好的呈现。

2018年11月Ciel在英国Coastal Haze厂牌发布了第二张EP《Hundred Flowers》，同第一张EP般柔和细腻，但又更加深邃悠长。而视频里这首Central重混的The Twirler这一名字则来源于一个在多伦多各种派对的舞池里总是喜欢旋转绕大圈跳舞的神奇角色。
- 虽发布仅两个月，这张EP便已经与Aphex Twin和Mr. Fingers 一起被选入Pitchfork 的2018年最佳电子音乐榜。

在过去的1年多里，Ciel跑遍了美国，澳大利亚和欧洲多个国家。受邀在柏林传奇Techno俱乐部Berghain、芝加哥Smart Bar、伦敦Corsica Studios、纽约Nowadays、阿姆斯特丹De School 等多个世界顶级俱乐部进行演出。并在巡演之间的休息间隔期给Rinse FM、The Fader、Dimensions 录制了多个百听不腻的mixes。
Ciel is one of the most promising Toronto-based producer, DJ, promoter and radio programmer in recent years, rated by Mixmag, Resident Advisor, Crack and Red Bull Music Academy as one to watch. Her two EP releases in 2017 and 2018 entered multiple end of year lists.
For the last seven years, Cindy’s continued to make waves in dance music scene for been advocating for equality, inclusivity, and safer spaces in dance music through her internationally praised It’s Not U It’s Me parties and a series of Work In Progress radio shows and events, which are rated by Resident Advisor as the country’s most forward-thinking events exclusively showcases music produced by female-identifying artists.
As a veteran DJ with a particular penchant for UK Hardcore, Breakbeat, Electro, Bleep and Jungle, she plays eclectic styles of music according to the crowd and has earned the reputation as one of dance music’s deepest crate diggers, where her musical knowledge is only matched by her technical mastery behind the decks. People who have watched her DJ set would always be amazed by her steady and seamlessly mixing skill. Her Boiler Room set even becomes a mixing tutorial video for some DJs.
At the end of 2017, Ciel released her debut EP “Electrical Encounters” under Shanti Celeste’s label Peach Discs. Finding a middle ground between electro and progressive house, she blended dreamy melodies, twitchy drums and exquisite synths and composed a pastel yet lively EP. Onced released, this EP soon drew attention from various music magazines and media such as Noisey, Resident Advisor and Mixmag and landed on numerous year end lists. Incontrovertibly, this is just one of the reward of her years of dedication to the underground music scene.
At the end of 2018, Ciel then released her second EP “Hundred Flowers” under British label Coastal Haze, which is delicate and pastel as the first EP but deeper. In this video, Central’s remix of The Twirler is named after a Toronto character who twirls “in wide circles on the dance floor” at parties. Although only launched for less than 2 months, this EP has already landed on Pitchfork’s Best Electronic Music in 2018, in line with names like Aphex Twin and Mr.Fingers.
She's since been on a nonstop tour through Australia, Europe and the United States, performing at some of the world's best clubs like Berghain (Berlin), De School (Amsterdam), Lux Fragil (Lisbon), Nowadays (NYC), Club Toilet during Movement Detroit, Concrete (Paris), Piknic Electronik (Montreal), Smart Bar (Chicago), and Corsica Studios (London). In her time off, she still finds time to writes music for future records and remixes including her next EP Hundred Flowers for Coastal Haze, put out a seemingly endless stream of eclectic mixes for platforms like The Fader, Acid Camp, Zeezout, and Rinse FM, all while continuing to bring her favourite artists to Toronto to perform for her beloved parties.
In the first month of 2019, China-born Ciel will visit China with her eclectic music collection and bring you a memorable dance party.

Warmchainss, part of OIL club crew , having started her DJ career just earlier this year, she has already shared stages with Murlo，Mina，Mala，Jesse Osborne-Lanthier，Schwefelgelb (Asian Dope Boys) ，Dis Fig, King Doudou, Toxe,Fractal Fantasy, Rabit, Ledef just to name a few, and already made guest appearances for Swiss music platform 1.1 and Hong Kong Net Radio Station HKCR. Her DJin’ style, self proclaiming as ‘a conflation of soft melodies and relentless rhythms’, refuses to resolute in fixation of genres and musical tropes.
