South China’s underground dance scene is in extremely good health right now, and at the forefront of the region’s new generation of bass music artists and followers is Unchained Recordings and its umbrella Unchained Asia.
Headquartered in both Shenzhen, China and Hong Kong, Unchained roams in the forward-thinking universe of sound that is Bass music with an emphasis on Halftime and Drum & Bass.
Unchained club nights are typically packed events focused on the dancefloor where every new release is tested and international talent from various corners of the globe are featured.

Sub Zero在15岁的时候受到Goldie和LTJ Bukem的Jungle music / D＆B的影响，以及观看了一部关于狂欢文化的“Equinox”纪录片后成为一名DJ的想法开始被他纳入人生蓝图。
至此Sub Zero与音乐结缘，他开始学习掌握混音的艺术。在经历了艰苦的努力与奉献和大量的购入黑胶唱片，他开始在Newcastle和周边地区的俱乐部展示他的音乐技巧并获得了大量的青睐，但对于当时雄心勃勃18岁的Sub Zero他不想止步于此，而是开始挑战自己并计划自己制作音乐。
2009年，Sub Zero在Ganja厂牌发行了他的首张单曲《Spin Doc》，开始了他的个人音乐生涯。这首单曲已经在D&B领域的下载排行榜上排名第一，获得了大量的收听，并得到了Andy C, Hype, Grooverider, 等人知名音乐人的好评，这首单曲的成功说明了一切，预示着Sub Zero未来的成功。
'Poon' EP
2011年，Sub Zero发布的 'Poon' EP，在Drum＆Bass Arena Awards中获得年度最佳单曲。它令人难以抗拒的黑暗伴随着强烈的冲击力，让'Poon'碾压了2011赛季几乎所有其他DJ Set，同时在Beatport，Drum＆Bass Arena和Track It Down中排名第一。这张EP其中的“Brighter Days”也同时深深地向人们展现更多的能量霸气音乐！

Jake Carter, AKA Sub Zero, has been an unstoppable force within drum & bass for almost a decade. After building massive respect and connections within the scene as one half of acclaimed Geordie jump up duo G-Dub, his solo output since 2009 has seen Sub Zero smash out some of drum & bass’s most destructive releases, from his tear-out debut ‘Spin Doc’ to ‘Ooh Baby’, ‘Dodge City’ and of course, ‘Poon’.
Sub Zero has risen to become a major weapon on the Real Playaz/Ganja Records label, and his release schedule for 2011-12 went stratospheric. As Jake’s production diversified, breathing new styles and life into jump up with strains of dark & minimal drum & bass, praise has been rolling in from heads such as Metalheadz don Goldie, Shogun boss Friction and S.P.Y. His debut Bipolar EP on Real Playaz has fully unleashed the split-personality production of this versatile artist, reflecting a scene that has become stronger for its diversification over the last few years.
It was 2011 that saw Sub Zero smash out his biggest track to date, ‘Poon’, nominated Best Track of the Year at the Drum&BassArena Awards. Its irresistibly dark but heavyweight style saw ‘Poon’ slammed into the set of pretty much every major DJ set of the season, as well as dominating the number 1 spots on Beatport, Drum&BassArena and Track It Down. Undeniably one of the weightiest dancefloor smashers to emerge from drum & bass in recent years, its B-side ‘Brighter Days’ smashed expectations with a soulful, deep take on the minimal roller.
Sub Zero’s talent as a remixer has seen his toxic refix of Sigma’s ‘The Jungle’ get rinsed by hard-hitters everywhere, leading on to a massive remix of 'Run Riot' for Camo & Krooked on Hospital Records, as well as dubstep goliaths Circus Records commissioning a fiendish rework of 140 anthem ‘50 Calibre’ by Funtcase. And to show just how much his talents are in demand, Viper Records has asked Sub Zero to take on DC Breaks’ 'Babylon', adding some landmark collaborations to an already outstanding back catalogue.
When he’s not smashing out titanium-hard DJ sets worldwide in South Africa, the US, Russia, Australia, Canada, China and all over Europe, Jake kicks back in Leicester and works on his next breath-taking release for the Playaz crew, and heads down to London monthly to smash out a residency set at Fabric’s colossal True Playaz events. Of all the achievements and accolades he has had in his career, a massive source of pride is his remix of DJ SS’s ‘We Came to Entertain’ rinsing out as the soundtrack to the infamous 'Fred The Raver' video on Youtube, boasting 2.5 million views to date.
With Sub Zero was voted DJ ravers most wanted to see at the world’s biggest drum & bass festival (Saint-Petersburg’s Pirate Station), and with every release he puts out going straight to the top of every download chart, Sub Zero’s massive popularity and fierce reputation as a producer isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Daniel Power

Founder of Unchained Asia, and residing in Shenzhen, Daniel Power has been defining, developing and elevating the Bass Music scene in South China for years now.
Covering very broad ground, he acts as CEO of the prolific music label Unchained Asia, runs regular International and local events across China and is one of the scenes most celebrated Drum and Bass DJs. Many consider him partly responsible for the ‘new wave’ in Bass now underway in the region.
Regularly touring across cities throughout China and Asia, playing in both developed and emerging electronic music scenes, he is often the DJ of choice as a club headliner, festival ticket and or support for some of the scene’s most respected touring artists. Whether he is playing alongside legends such as DJ Zinc, Mala or Fabio, or being the drawcard artist in cities such as Shanghai, Seoul or Ho Chi Minh, Power’s name carries weight.
Whilst once the resident DJ and Artistic Director for Shenzhen ‘super club’ Club Sector, he now partners with the infamous Oil Club, pushing forward the scene via events and the many activities of Unchained Asia with his dedicated crew.
Lyndon Jarr

Whilst now a 140, Dubstep and Drum & Bass producer based in Hong Kong, Jarr is originally from Sydney where he helped foster the DnB movement in the early 00's through his crew's radio show Deep Beatz (BondiFM) and numerous Bass events. Jarr's first major release, "Play the Tape", with respected underground UK label Deep Heads became an overnight success and was followed by his dub- infused tune "Whiteboy" which lead the charge on Soul Deep Recordings' 9th Unsung Heroes compilation. Tracks such as Jazzman and Django, from his latest EP on Brighton’s SmallPrint Recordings, provide a perfect example of the deep and unique atmospheric stylings wired throughout his productions. Having just released his Dark Jazz EP on Bristol-based 140 Ninja look out for his forthcoming half-time and footwork releases on on Italy’s ground- breaking imprint - The Dreamers.
Just Bee

Just Bee has taken an insatiable hunger for the perfect sound, and has become one of the region’s next big tastemakers and an icon of this drum and bass scene.
Inspired by the likes of labels such as Dispatch, Hospital, Critical, Exit Records and CIA, the tastemaker combines an insatiable hunger for new sounds, roots in dubstep and drum and bass, and a tight, driving mixing style with which she commands the room. She fills the night with wave after wave of sonic depth in her quest to bring sounds to the world only best experienced in Hong Kong and South China’s underground.
She has garnered support from Hong Kong’s underground institutions - namely Heavy Hongkong, Ecstatic Bass and Buondodhi - and has played in some of the city’s biggest festivals and venues including Outlook, Clockenflap, Oil Club, Drop, Club Sector, Basement, XXX, Oma and Social Room.

南中国最活跃的DnB组织Unchained Asia核心成员之一的Immuno a.k.a Nick Gavin，来自拥有世界上最活跃的DnB现场之一的国家——新西兰。少年时开始自学DJ 不久后打进新西兰DJ大赛的决赛，很快吸引了许多注意力并得到与许多重量级音乐人同台演出的机会
从2014年搬到香港起，他的名字开始在香港地下派对现场发光，除了日常的Unchained派对之外，他曾受邀至众多权威Bass以及DnB派对演出，如King of Kowloon (Heavy HK), 长城阴阳音乐节, Hummingbird, Secret island Party, Drum’n’Bassment, 等等。

Immuno, one of the core members of Unchained Asia, who are one of China's top Bass Music crews located in South China. Originally he is from New Zealand - known for having one of the world’s most prolific DnB scenes. When Nick dove into DJing at an early age he found himself quickly climbing the ranks. It wasn’t long before he was making it as a finalist in New Zealand National DJ competitions, and getting the opportunity to support some A-list artists. In 2014 he made the move to Hong Kong were for the past several years, he has truly made waves. He has featured on the line up of numerous Bass and DNB events including King of Kowloon (Heavy HK), the Yin Yang Great Wall Music Festival, Hummingbird, Secret island Party and Drum’n’Bassment, and of course the regular Unchained evnts. Now a core member of the Unchained crew he is looking forward to pushing the D’n’B scene throughout China! His style oscillates between rocking the dance in a tight intimate room, to laying down smooth beats to vibe out to.
Focused on promoting the best in high quality music, Senja’s versatility spans various genres: from the raw sounds of Jungle-D&B to futuristic head nodding Hip Hop, and essential forays into Dub, House, Afrobeat, Funk, Soul & Jazz. Occasionally, he will perform VJ sets of quality alternative music.
