Mr Going-to-do 打算先生

John lives in a village.

约翰住在乡下。

But people often call him "Mr Going-to-do".

但是人们经常叫他“打算先生”。

Do you want to know why?

你知道为什么吗？

John always says,"I'm going to do...."

约翰总是说“我打算做...”

But he never does it. 但是他从不做。

Every Saturday, 每个星期六，

John goes to Mr Smith's house and talks with him.

约翰都去史密斯家，与他交谈。

"I'm going to clean my house tomorrow," he says,

“我明天要打扫房子，”他说，

or" I'm going to wash my car next week."

或者“我下周要洗车。”

Mr Smith usually says,"Are you,John?"

史密斯先生经常说，“是吗，约翰？”

John isn't going to clean his house or wash his car.

约翰不会打扫房子或者洗车。

Mr Smith knows that. 史密斯知道。

Thenhe says, 然后他说，

"Excuse me,John.I'm going to do some work now."

“对不起，约翰，我现在要做些工作。

And he goes into his house.

“然后他就进屋了。

Mr Smith often says to his son,

史密斯先生经常对他的儿子说，

"If you say you are going to do something,then do it.

“如果你说你要做什么，就去做。

Don't be another‘MrGoing-to-do,’"

不要做另一个“打算先生”。”
