11月8日，西岸美术馆与蓬皮杜中心五年展陈合作项目将在上海正式向公众开放，开启一段探索全球现当代艺术的旅程! 蓬皮杜中心与西岸美术馆之间这一历时5年的合作是中法两国之间迄今为止最大规模的艺术交流活动。此次合作将以两场量身定制的展览，以及包括室内外表演、儿童活动、工作坊、对谈等一系列丰富多元的活动拉开帷幕。
On November 8th the Centre Pompidou x West Bund Museum Project will officially open its doors in Shanghai, embarking the public on an exciting and unprecedented journey of discovery of international modern and contemporary art. Two exceptional exhibitions, along with a rich and diverse program of indoor and outdoor performances, children activities, workshops, and talks, will kick-off this 5-year collaboration between the Centre Pompidou and the West Bund Museum, the largest ever artistic exchange and cooperation project between China and France.

5-YEAR COLLABORATION
自2019年至2024年，蓬皮杜中心与西岸美术馆展开合作，共同向中法两国公众呈现双方对法国、中国及世界现当代艺术的全新而多元的见解。在中国，此次合作将由西岸集团旗下的全新美术馆——西岸美术馆为载体，在5年期间呈现来自蓬皮杜中心极具代表性的馆藏作品，并在蓬皮杜中心专家团队的支持下推出一系列跨学科文化项目。在巴黎，蓬皮杜中心也将呈现若干中国艺术家的展览和项目。

From 2019 to 2024, the Centre Pompidou and the West Bund Museum will be collaborating to offer the public, both in China and in France, new and diverse insights on French, Chinese and international modern and contemporary art. In China, the collaboration takes the form a brand new museum operated by the West Bund Group, the West Bund Museum, which, for 5 years, will be exclusively filled with extraordinary masterpieces from the Centre Pompidou collections and will propose a multidisciplinary cultural program entirely built with the help of the Centre Pompidou’s team and expertise. During the same period, in Paris, the Centre Pompidou will present several exhibitions and projects by Chinese artists.

THE WEST BUND MUSEUM:

西岸美术馆由英国著名建筑师大卫·奇普菲尔德操刀设计，建筑面积2.5万平方米，坐落于徐汇滨江地区的黄浦江畔。美术馆共三层，由三大体块围绕中庭空间组成，位于二层的三间主要展厅用于呈现常设展和临时展。每间展厅的巨大观景窗为观众提供包括公园、江面和城市的全景式观景体验。
Designed by British architect David Chipperfield, the West Bund Museum is a 25,000sqm building located on the banks of the Huangpu river, in the Xuhui Waterfront district. Built over three floors, it is organized around a central atrium from which the three wings of the building spread out. Located on the top floor, the three main galleries will host the permanent and temporary exhibitions. Large windows at their ends offer panoramic views over the park, the river and the city.

美术馆一层的主入口面向江畔，除了票务服务和美术馆商店等功能外，还设立“展厅0”这一旨在支持中国及国际新兴艺术家项目的空间。从室外楼梯拾级而下，经过一个下沉花园即可到达美术馆地下1层，这里设有占地800平方米的公教空间“智造展厅”，一间设备先进的多功能厅，以及用于呈现视听装置的“盒子”。餐厅、咖啡厅以及坐拥黄浦江江景的酒廊和露台作为美术馆功能的补充，为观众提供了休闲放松的绝佳场所。

The first floor welcomes the public from the riverside, with ticketing services, a museum shop and "Gallery 0", a space dedicated to prospective projects commissioned to emerging Chinese and international artists. The lower level of the museum, which can be accessed from a set of stairs descending into a sunken courtyard, offers an 800sqm public education hall, the "Creativity Gallery"; a state-of-the-art auditorium; and "The Box" showcasing audiovisual installations. A restaurant, a café, a bar and a terrace with breathtaking views of the Huangpu waterfront complete the museum spaces and offer a nice array of relaxing options for the visitor.

Over the course of the partnership, three 18-month long permanent exhibitions will be on view, as well as two temporary exhibitions per year, offering the public a consistent program of top-end, carefully curated, well documented shows covering the main movements that shaped the art of the 20th and 21st centuries. The Centre Pompidou x West Bund Museum Project will open with two major exhibitions:

作为三场常设展中的首展，“时间的形态”将带来观众踏上自19-20世纪之交现代社会伊始直至当代全球语境下的艺术史旅程。展览通过11个章节共百余件作品，介绍蓬皮杜中心馆藏中重要艺术家作品，包括：杜尚、毕加索、康定斯基、保罗·克利、夏加尔、考尔德、米罗、封塔纳、博伊斯、里希特等，以及重要的中国艺术家如赵无极、张洹、丁乙、蔡国强和李永斌。

The first in a sequence of three permanent exhibitions, The Shape of Time embarks the visitor on a journey throughout art history from the early stages of modernity at the turn of the 20th century to present times and contemporary artists’ take on a globalized world. Through eleven chapters and around one hundred artworks, the exhibition introduces major artists from the collection such as Duchamp, Picasso, Kandinsky, Klee, Chagall, Calder, Miro, Fontana, Beuys, Richter, and many more including important Chinese artists such as Zao Wou-ki, Zhang Huan, Ding Yi, Cai Guo-qiang and Li Yongbin.

Initiated in the mid-1970's, the New Media Collection of the Centre Pompidou is among the finest in the world, with nearly 3,000 videos, audiovisual installations, sound recordings and works involving interactive digital technology. Inaugurating the temporary exhibition series, Observations presents 15 artists from the collection with key works from 1972 to present days, including videos by Chinese artists Zhang Peili, Cui Xiuwen, and Zhou Tao. Tackling questions such as the gaze and its construction, the relationship to the body, the connection to information, data and noise, the exhibition features a highly diverse group of works in a non-linear route allowing the visitor to use their own initiative and leaving the images open to interpretation.

公共教育——美术馆的核心任务
PUBLIC EDUCATION, AT THE HEART OF THE MUSEUM’S MISSION

公共教育既是西岸美术馆的核心任务，也是观众体验的重中之重。公众将获得丰富的观展辅助工具，包括双语展墙文字、展览导览、语音及视频导览、展览折页和AR游戏等。而西岸美术馆最为特别的，当属为儿童和成人观众量身定制的活动空间“智造展厅”，公众将在此处同艺术、艺术家展开对话。其中，“游乐场”将为儿童提供沉浸式交互艺术装置，“儿童工坊”侧重于手工活动，“工作室”则用于肢体体验类活动。

Public education is at the heart of the museum’s mission and the visitor experience. A large offer of mediation tools will be available for the public, with bilingual wall texts, guided tours, audio and video guides, leaflets, AR games etc. But even more specifically, a vast area is dedicated to children and adult activities: in the "Creativity Gallery", visitors will enter in conversation with art and artists: in the "Playground", with immersive and interactive installations for the very young public, in the "Workshop" for children hands-on activities, and in the "Studio", dedicated to physical experience.

“游乐场”的形式在中国可谓首屈一指，中国艺术家沈远为这个空间量身定制的沉浸式装置《地心引力》将作为开幕项目，通过诗意、感性的方式引发参与者对海洋污染问题的思考。在开幕期间，由托马·朗弗朗士、斋藤丽、朱莉·斯特凡·陈、安妮·德纳斯塔斯、赛琳娜·科宁等一众艺术家带来的工作坊、表演和室外互动装置等丰富多彩的活动也将向公众呈现。

First of its kind in China, the "Playground" space will be inaugurated with Gravity, an immersive installation by Chinese artist Shen Yuan conceived specifically for this space and addressing the issue of ocean pollution in a poetic and sensitive way, whereas workshops, performances, and outdoor interactive installations will also be proposed during the opening weeks by artists Thomas Lanfranchi, Lei Saito, Julie Stephen Chheng, Anne Denastas and Selina König.

西岸美术馆与蓬皮杜中心五年展陈合作项目向所有艺术形式和创作敞开大门，舞蹈、电影、表演、文学、音乐和现场项目在开幕活动中占据核心地位。倘若设备先进的多功能厅是美术馆物质上的引力场，那么丰富多元、面向所有公众的活动则与展览中的艺术作品、美术馆的建筑相辅相成，将贯穿美术馆的各个空间，以庆祝开幕。
The Centre Pompidou x West Bund Museum Project welcomes all forms of art and creation, from dance to cinema, from performance to literature and to music, and live programs occupy a central place in the opening program. If the natural gravity center is the state-of-the-art auditorium, a very rich and diverse program open to all, that resonates with the exhibited artworks and the architecture, will take place throughout the museum spaces to celebrate the inauguration.

Chinese artist Wu Juehui and Ufo Media Lab will orchestrate a Cross Media Art Night; French dancer and choreographer Myriam Gourfink will present 4 choreographic works, including Cartilage, the world premiere of a co-creation with musician Zhao Lei; musicians from the IRCAM, one of the world’s biggest research centers for musical creation and scientific research under the Centre Pompidou, will present a sophisticated musical programming including a collaboration with Shanghai Conservatory of Music; a series of public conversations will allow the public to listen to the artists Myriam Gourfink, Ding Yi, Zhang Peili… in dialogue with the Centre Pompidou director of the National Museum of Modern Art / Centre Pompidou Bernard Blistène, New Media Collection chief curator Marcella Lista, head of the Culture and Creation Department Matthieu Potte-Bonneville.
