本项目坐落于中国郑州，为建业艾美酒店的改造，原建筑及及室内景观部分由如恩Neri&Hu于2013年完成。本项目室外改造景观面积总共约6000平米，Shma于2019年被邀请对室外的景观进行重新设计。

Located in the center of Zhengzhou, China, Le Meridien is a small scale hotel project, approximately 6000 Sqm. Le Meridien is currently completed. This project is a luxury hotel designed by Neri & Hu back in the year 2013. Due to the renovation requirements back in 2019, Shma was invited to design the landscape space in front of the hotel.

由于场地的特殊性，该项目意在营造一个雕塑感仅供观赏的景观空间。在基于郑州棉纺织业的历史下，棉纺织业的肌理再结合现场地铁通风井，地铁降板等诸多现存为难条件下，我们利用有限的场地创造出了极具肌理感及雕塑感的景观激活了这座使用多年的酒店大堂外部空间，点亮了整个艾美酒店，同时，成为了郑州当地的一个新地标。

In this project, our approach was to design and create a sculptural-like landscape that represents the weaving textile industry in Zhengzhou. This feature is to be introduced as a frontage demonstration landscape for Le Meridien. As it is a renovation hotel project, Shma had also cooperated to solve many site problems during the construction progress, and as a result made the hotel to finally become a landmark in the neighborhood of Zhengzhou and its surroundings.
