If solar terms have personalities, Spring Equinox must be patient, unbiased, calm and mild.

如果节气也有性格，那么春分一定是不急不躁、不偏不倚、有条不紊、心平气和的。

Diligent and punctual, swallow is typical of Spring Equinox. As depicted in Du Fu’s poem, swallows are building mud nests while mandarin ducks lie in warm sand. Unimportant but beautiful, shepherd’s purse flower is typical of Spring Equinox. As depicted in Xin Qiji’s ci, while peach and plum blossoms in town are worrying about rain and winds, spring shines in shepherd’s purse flowers along the brook. Meticulous, confident and patient, those who are able to balance eggs are typical of Spring Equinox. They are just like the Zhengzhou people, honest and innovative.

最有资格代表春分的鸟儿，是杜甫笔下“泥融飞燕子，沙暖睡鸳鸯”中的春燕，它勤劳而守时；最有资格代表春分的花儿，是辛弃疾在“城中桃李愁风雨，春在溪头荠菜花”里描写的荠菜花，它卑微却依旧明媚；最有资格代表春分的人儿，是俗话“春分到，蛋儿俏”里那些成功竖起鸡蛋的人们，他们细心、自信且极具耐心，就像淳朴而不失创造力的郑州人。

As the middle point of spring, Spring Equinox equally separates day and night, cold and heat. It reveals the idea of diversity, inclusiveness, harmony and coexistence – the golden mean held by modern Chinese people.

春分，不仅平分春季，还平分昼夜和寒暑，不经意间流露出现代中国人的“中庸之道”——多元包容、和谐共生。

郑州碧沙岗公园

观赏花卉：海棠

最佳赏花期：3月中旬~4月中旬

Zhengzhou Bishagang Park is the largest planting base for Chinese flowering crab-apple in Henan. Every March and April, over 5,000 Chinese crab trees of over 50 strains compete to bloom.

作为河南省最大的海棠种植集中地，每逢三四月份，郑州市碧沙岗公园就有50余个品种、5000多株海棠花竞相绽放。

Zhengzhou Botanic Park

郑州植物园

观赏花卉：牡丹、芍药

最佳赏花期：4月中下旬

The Peony Garden of Zhengzhou Botanic Park covers an area of four hectares. So far it is the largest and most diverse peony and Chinese herbaceous peony plantation in Zhengzhou.

郑州植物园牡丹芍药园占地约4公顷，是目前郑州种植牡丹与芍药面积最大、品种最多的专类园。

郑州月季公园

观赏花卉：月季

最佳赏花期：5月上中旬

Renowned as “the Queen of flowers”, China rose is beautiful, elegant and passionate. The park has over 300 thousand China roses of over 1,200 fine varieties.

热情如火的月季花，花姿秀美，花色绮丽，有“花中皇后”之美称。月季公园有1200余个优良月季品种，30万余株。

郑州紫荆山公园

In spring, the park will be dotted with flowers—some still in bud, some already in full bloom. The park will also hold a Chinese Redbud Exhibition then.

星星点点的花，有的含苞欲放，有的热烈奔放，点缀在枝条上，别有风韵。紫荆花展也会在每年这个季节如期到来。

Zhengzhou Green Expo Park

观赏花卉：梅花、桃花、樱花、郁金香、海棠、牡丹

Zhengzhou Green Expo Park will hold a number of flower exhibitions one after another, including winter jasmine exhibition, plum blossom exhibition, peach blossom exhibition, cherry blossom exhibition, tulip exhibition, Chinese crab exhibition and peony exhibition. Here you can see a profusion of flowers.

每年，绿博园的迎春展、梅花展、桃花展、樱花展、郁金香展、海棠展、牡丹展等将陆续登场，在这里可以领略到百花竞放的迷人景色。

郑州金鹭鸵鸟园

In late April, a thousand mu of Chinese scholar trees will burst into bloom. The annual Zhengzhou Huaihua Festival will also begin.

4月下旬，金鹭鸵鸟园内千亩槐花林将绽放，一年一度的郑州槐花节也将精彩登场。

Zhengzhou University New Campus has a wide expanse of flowering cherry trees comparable with that of Wuhan University. When flowering cherry trees come into bloom in spring, it is too beautiful to take it all in. Be sure not to miss it.

Most peach trees here are almost 20 years old. There is a sea of peach blossoms every early April.

Every March, over 100 thousand wild apricot trees come into bloom in Mount Fuxi Scenic Area, forming a beautiful vista in Xinmi.

每年的3月，新密市伏羲山风景区10万余株野生杏树漫山遍野，竞相吐蕊，已经成为当地一道亮丽的风景。
