CFFC 2021 | Lucky Draw for the MIGRANT CHILDREN!
The big night is approaching, November 6th CFFC is kicking off the charity event of the year. While unfortunately not everyone is able to take part in the actual event, we would like to bring the people of Beijing another way to take part and contribute to the community - we therefore present, our WeChat CFFC Lucky Draw!
By participating, you’ll get the chance to win from amongst 216 prizes with a total value of more than 320,000 RMB - prizes generously donated by some of the greatest companies this city has to offer. Most importantly, you’ll be pleased to know all the money gathered will go to this year’s Charity Recipient, Dandelion School.
Dandelion school is the first and only private owned, non-profit middle school for migrant children, offering excellent education and care for the past 16 years! Poverty, low wages, unsafe living and working conditions, interrupted schooling and lack of educational opportunities still plague migrant families in China. Through Dandelion School, children not only get the chance to live their childhood while building a foundation for the future, they also get to stay near their parents, where they really belong.
Dandelion School also works to ensure that low-income migrant parents have the opportunity to be close to their child during these crucial years, providing both education for children and support for parents. School counselors help parents with the pressure and distress caused by family or financial issues, supporting with love and compassion.
How can YOU make an impact?
2000RMB covers a full month of education for one student, including accommodation, meals, and materials. Please contact our sweet CFFC committee member Camilla to buy your tickets! Kindly note,she’s a volunteer for the cause, donating every second of her spare time while being a full-time mom with a husband working full-time away from home. Every evening or morning, she will send out ticket numbers to all confirmed participants. She will give you simple instructions once you reach out to her. Your patience and understanding is highly appreciated.
