If you’ve ever dreamt of a place that’s close to go to, a destination where you could go by yourself, or with your family, or friends to spend a day or two, well then your dreams have been answered.
Today, we’re so excited to introduce you to this venue. It’s a one hour drive from Hangzhou, combines sophistication with spontaneity and speed, and creates an immersive travel experience unlike any other. The Cachet Boutique Zhejiang Circuit is located trackside at the Zhejiang Circuit which is a 3.2km FIA Grade 2 racetrack with supporting facilities. The hotel we’re talking about was designed by one of the most popular British interior designers, Katharine Pooley, and it’s a premier motorsport destination in China where you can experience it all: elegant design, modern furnishings, and the lovely roar of world-class racing engines.
HOTEL FACILITIES
There’s so much to write about this hotel, but we’re going to start with the rooms and facilities. The hotel has 52 guestrooms and suites, and 18 of them have racetrack views. Imagine looking out of your window and watching F2 racing warmly and comfortably? Not mention the fact that the TV in the room connects to the 36 cameras on the racetrack, so you can switch to any angle to watch the race as you like. The heart shaped “Love Turn” is the most dangerous turn, and a lot of racing cars have gone off track here, but it’s also one of the three overtaking points on the track. You can watch the race in your room, sip coffee, and enjoy cars crashing. Whoops, did I just say that? But come on, we know you want to see that!
If you are taking a weekend trip with your family, don’t worry. The hotel’s Z Spa and nail salon can take care of you, your girlfriend, or your wife for a pampering afternoon. The massage rooms of Z Spa are named after famous racing tracks around the world like Nürburgring, and Silverstone. It is a paradise after racing and a fast-paced life. They offer body care, face care, and body skin care.
You can also choose to spend the afternoon to do little workout. The fitness center is fully equipped with Precor modern cardio and strength-training equipment along with views of the track to inspire you. Personal trainers, yoga classes and a range of physical programs are available. Saunas and steam rooms allow you to unwind post-workout.

THE GUESTROOMS
I stayed at the Cameo Suite, a 90 square meter room with a living room space and a big bathroom The mattresses are from King Koil which ensures a restful sleep, and the Japanese style toilet is intelligent, it's not impossible to sit on it for half an hour, flush, swing, get a bit of hot air, and dry. All it takes is a quick press of the button.

I loved the Dyson hair dryer. I’ve been wanting to buy it, but it’s so expensive that I don’t want to spend 2-3K one. However, let me tell you, it dries your hair so fast without static electricity, it’s quiet, and it makes your hair as soft as silk, so I’m rethinking dropping the cash. The luxury bathroom amenities by Natura Bissē from Spain top it all off to bring out your youthful glow.

I have to mention the Penthouse. It gives you a bird’s-eye view of the circuit, a dining room, kitchen facilities, separate living room and washing room, along with a large outdoor terrace to soak it all in. At 318 square meters, it provides plenty of room for entertaining and relaxation, with an in-room Jacuzzi and complimentary minibar, as well as club benefits in the bar at Porterhouse by Laris. Whether you go with a few families, friends, or even for a team building weekend, it’s a good choice (8,000RMB+/night).

Soulful Dining Experience
After a couple of Happy Hour drinks at the Z Club, it was time to head off to the wine dinner at the Porterhouse by Laris. It is an upscale dining destination, elegant in its simplicity, offering fine cuts of meat and seafood.
Porterhouse is a modern reinterpretation of the classic steakhouse by celebrity Greek Australian Chef David Laris, in a sexy & chic atmosphere. David Laris’s name has become synonymous with the constant shaping and redefining of the food and beverage industry in China. He launched his namesake restaurant Laris at Three on the Bund designed by Michale Graves, which quickly became a landmark in the city’s contemporary fine-dining scene.

Our wine dinner started with Smoked Oyster, Foie Gras, and Warm Scampi, paired with white wine from France, Australia and Germany, followed by the Corn Lobster Soup, the main are Crab Meat Gazpacho and M7 Sirloin, the whole chef team, the cocktail show made a huge impression for all of us. As the night slowly approached the end by the collision of the staggered cocktail glasses.

A Luxurious Dining Experience
The lunch next day was at Philippe by Philippe Chow, a sophisticated modern Chinese style restaurant near Fifth & Madison Avenues in New York. This is its first restaurant in China. Since opened in New York, Philippe Chow has received top culinary accolades including “Best Peking Duck” from the New York Observer and “Best in Chinese” by Zagat. Here at Cachet Boutique, Philippe has combined his classic Beijing cuisine with the local specialties, not only you can have Beijing duck, but also local Shaoxing cuisine, spicy Sichuanese food, and exquisite Cantonese dishes to name a few.
The restaurant is very chic with traditional Chinese deco, the four private rooms are named after the four locations in Shaoxing city, and the cocktails in restaurant are created based on the local specialty - yellow wine as well.
Our lunch was very creative and fused beautifully. The culinary team put the Chinese food materials and ingredients together with their rich imagination to present them on the table beautifully.
FIA GRADE 2 RACETRACK
& GO-KARTS ARENA
Accelerate Your Senses
The last is actually the biggest splash, and this is also the unique point of the hotel. They have two race tracks, one is the Zhejiang Circuit, and is a 3.2-kilometer track designed to meet FIA Grade 2 specifications and challenge drivers of all experience levels in an exhilarating and safe environment.
And the other one is a Go-kart arena which offers great fun for both beginners and pros. At over 800 meters long, it’s fully complies with and is licensed by the Commission International de Karting — the world's governing body for karting.
The entire track has a unique counterclockwise design, a total of 16 turns, including nine left turns and 7 right turns, the maximum single-lap speed is up to 260km/h, and the track has the ups and downs. There is a 22m difference in height between the lowest and the highest points, fully demonstrating the performance of the vehicle turning and accelerating. It has hosted the Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific, GT Asia Series, China GT, Motorsport Asia, Blancpain GT Series, TCR International Series and a series of dazzling other events.
As we know, every famous F1 racing driver all started in go-karts. When they were young, the likes of Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, Fernando Alonso, Alain Prost, Kimi Raikkonen, Barton Mawer, Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, and many more all did it. If you want to feel the speed and passion, your dream can be fulfilled in their karting arena. They have the biggest karting tracks in Asia, a total length of 814 meters, the maximum gradient of 1.4%, width of 7 to 10 meters, a total of 10 turns, perfect balance of challenges and fun. In particular, the karting arena has introduced the French Sodi Kart, which is the best in the industry. In addition to the standard adult kart models, there are also models specifically designed for the body size of children aged 7-13.
Track Director, Gary Palmer from UK, has more than 20 years of coaching experience in many international competitions, including F1, together with the advance racing facilities, so it’s never too late to make your dreams of becoming a racer come true.
