The F & B business is never easy, we've seen so many venues have been closed or re-opened. The biggest news this week is gotta be the Slim's, after 4 years in Hangzhou, now it's time to say goodbye.

When Chef Adam Levin first opened Aria Restaurant in Beijing for China World Hotel in 1998, he brought his style and expertise in steak and seafood to a new emerging culinary scene in China.
In 2010, Chef Adam opened his award winning New York Steak & Burger in Shanghai and followed that the next year with his self styled and highly acclaimed Shanghai Slim's. Chef Adam, nicknamed The Big Potato, brought Slim's to Hangzhou in 2014, his two branches were opened in Nanshan Road and Star Avenue in Binjiang.
In 2017, Slim's Nanshan Branch was closed. Sadly, the Binjiang branch is also unlucky enough to escape the bad luck. Today is Slim's Binjiang Branch's last day, go enjoy your last dinner.

13 Year Anniversary Party @ JZ Hangzhou
JZ Hangzhou is turning 13 years old. Go and celebrate with them on the night of Thursday, November 1st.
Three pioneers of contemporary Chinese music, Min Xiaofen, Wu Wei and Xu Fengxia, represents the rapid changes occurring in modern China, standing for openness for experiments and new directions in music, but firmly rooted in traditional Chinese culture. The three of them have gone through intensive studies in ancient Chinese music and have become masters on their respective instruments. The trio has staged in Austria, Sweden and the Netherlands. This time, for the 13 year anniversary of JZ Hangzhou, they will team up with the American tap dancer Max to bring you another unforgettable night. And let's not forget this place will be packed of local musicians to jam on this special night, we ensure you it's gonna be a very musical night.

La Pedrera's New Tapas Restaurant

Well, it's not exactly new, but the whole West Brooks has been renovating, all the restaurants and bars in it have moved to their new locations, and they also took this opportunity to give themselves a new look, La Pedrera is one of them.

Spanish chef Juan Francisco, together with the owners Xavier and Liying who lived in Spain for over 20 years, created this lively tapas restaurant, with the idea to bring Spanish flavors to Hangzhou. It features a wide variety of Spanish tapas & desserts, accompanied by sangria, cocktails, beer & wine.
There is also live music every night.
