The Chinese New Year celebration is one of the highlights of HIS's school year. It gives them the opportunity to join in with the customs and fun of their host country. The teachers and children have devoted a lot of time and effort into preparing for this event.
Yesterday, the Chinese New Year celebration was taken place at Hangzhou International School, during this event, HIS students fully demonstrated their talents and skills, and they spent an unforgettable day with their families. The celebration started with the principal's speech, the dragon and lion dance. Both dragon dance and lion dance are a form of traditional dance and performance in Chinese culture.
Students were very thrilled by this traditional dance and performance.
Later on, the celebration went on with the talent show by HIS students, Chinese crosstalk, kuaiban, Korean traditional dance, Chinese folk music, fan dance, and so on...
In addition, the Chinese New Year celebration also has a lot to do with Chinese culture. Students and families enjoyed the calligraphy demonstrations, go game, Chinese New Year couplets writing, flower arranging performance, there were even red envelopes giveaway.
Everyone had an unforgettable day before the Chinese New Year Day arrives.
