New COVID-19 Vaccine Ready for Human Trials

Moderna (NASDAQ: MRNA) announced on Monday afternoon that the company's experimental mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, known as mRNA-1273, is ready for human testing. The initial batch of the vaccine has already been shipped to U.S. government researchers from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

The biotech company expects that the first clinical trials will begin near late April, with around 25 healthy volunteers participating in these tests. Initial clinical results could be available sometime in July or August.

It's a remarkably fast development cycle for Moderna to be able to develop an initial vaccine just weeks after identifying the COVID-19 genetic sequence.

The Traffic Jam Has Started

According to the map's data, the peak time of traffic appeared around 8am and 5pm. The traffic jam in the morning is particularly obvious on the elevated road.

From the data of the past two weeks, we can see Hangzhou's resumption of work has risen to the highest among the other 20 major cities.

The areas where the traffic is concentrated are mainly transportation hubs, hospitals and government departments.

Police officer Yu Yudong told us: "We haven't received any notification about when to resume the traffic restrictions. We will have to listen to the unified deployment.

(12:26pm Feb. 25) A 56-year-old woman in SW China's Sichuan Province was confirmed with novel coronavirus infection Monday. She tested negative eight times in nucleic acid diagnosis.

(11:45am Feb. 25) World Table Tennis Championships, originally scheduled in Busan, South Korea from March 22-29, have been postponed and rescheduled to June 21-28 amid the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
