WHAT'S NEW 城中事

On April 17, Zhejiang announced that more than 100 transportation projects, such as the Shanghai-Hangzhou Super Maglev, coastal high-speed rail, and Hangzhou Bay Smart Expressway, are about to land, with a total investment of over 3.2 trillion RMB. The news was announced at the mobilization meeting of Zhejiang Province on the morning of the comprehensive promotion of the construction of a high-level transportation province. It clearly stated that the Shanghai-Hangzhou Super Maglev project and other projects are planning for transportation development in the next 30 years. As soon as the news came out, the capital market infrastructure sector rose in response, and Zhejiang Jiaoke (002061.SZ) saw a straight daily limit.

The total investment of the Shanghai-Hangzhou Super Maglev Project is at the level of 100 billion RMB. With such a big hand, what kind of project is this?

Railway Qingdao Sifang Locomotive & Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CRRC Sifang”) marketing personnel confirmed to a passenger: if the project is landed, it should be our company’s “600km high-speed maglev” Also exhibited in Hangzhou. At present, only our Sifang is developing high-speed maglev projects.

The distance between Shanghai and Hangzhou is 200 kilometres, which means that if a high-speed maglev train with a speed of 600 kilometres per hour is set up, it will be driven at the highest speed in only 20 minutes from Hangzhou to Shanghai and 30 minutes to Wenzhou.

Ding Sansan, head of the high-speed maglev project and deputy chief engineer of CRRC Sifang, said that the market goal of high-speed maglev trains with a speed of 600 kilometres per hour is to fill the gap between air and railway traffic. The high-speed maglev train is called “floating on the ground”. According to the plan of CRRC Sifang, the test line will not be tested until around 2022, and currently only the test sample is off the assembly line.

On May 23 last year, a 600km / h high-speed maglev test prototype was rolled off Qingdao. This year, the engineering prototype is expected to go offline. Next, the project will carry out system comprehensive tests on the commissioning line in 2021, complete the integration verification, and form a high-speed maglev engineering capability.

According to Zhang Zhiqiang, designer of CRRC, the high-speed maglev train has 7 major advantages, such as high energy efficiency, low energy consumption, high safety, environmental friendliness, high speed, quick start and quick stop. The speed advantage of mainline transportation is also applicable to the application of fast start and stop in the short and medium distance, which greatly improves the efficiency of urban commuting and promotes the development of “integration”, “same urbanization” and “commutation” between urban agglomerations and cities.

Shanghai-Hangzhou Maglev Dispute History

The launch of the Shanghai-Hangzhou Super Maglev is quick and slow.

In the “Outline of the Yangtze River Delta Regional Integration Development Plan” issued in early December 2019, the attitude about the Shanghai-Hangzhou maglev project is still “actively and carefully carry out planning research”.

In April 2020, Zhejiang held a comprehensive mobilization conference to promote the construction of a high-level transportation province. It was announced that in order to achieve the goal of comprehensively building Zhejiang into a high-level transportation province in the middle of this century, the “Top Ten Billion “And” hundreds of billions “and other major projects, the total investment exceeds 3 trillion. The Shanghai-Hangzhou Super Maglev Project is among the “Top Ten Hundred Billion”.

Specifically, the “Top Ten Hundred Billion” projects include coastal high-speed rail project, Hangzhou Bay Smart Highway project, Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport integrated hub project, 1,000-ton-level inland waterway upgrade project, Hangzhou Metropolitan Ring Road Project, Yangshan The total investment in the port area development project, the Ningbo West Comprehensive Hub Project, the Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo Super Maglev Project, the Shanghai-Ningbo Cross-sea Passageway Project and the Shanghai-Yongzhou-Ningbo Cross-sea Passageway Project has totaled over one trillion RMB. The “Big Ten Billion” project includes 103 projects covering various transportation modes such as roads, railways, rails, water transportation, and hubs, with a total investment of about 2.4 trillion RMB.
