Hangzhou International School was founded in 2002 to serve international children. As an IB World School, HIS provides a rigorous, high-caliber academic program for students aged 2-18. HIS offers students a strong curricular experience with excellent opportunities to develop individual talents and areas of interest. A hallmark of HIS is the community-centered atmosphere, which welcomes participation within our community and with external partnerships.

The 13th Annual HIS Dragon Run has a proud history as a community and charity event bringing together expat and local families from the Hangzhou area as well as keen runners from Shanghai and surrounding cities.

The event includes a 5K Run and a Family 1K Fun Run. The Dragon Run has always had a commitment to raising money for charities within China. This year together, we work to support the library-project.org

Choose a Day to Run and chose a tracking app to record your run and a take a photo or selfie of you, your friends, your family completing the run. 

Examples of Activity Tracking Apps that can be downloaded for free onto your phone include: Strava, KEEP, Garmin, Apple Activity. Screenshot should include- Map, Distance, Duration, Date.

Join the WeChat group to upload your run and photos 

Event Registration:

Registrations close on Friday 29 May.

Pick-ups:

Your registration fee will get you Race T-shirt and Medal. In the weeks following the Dragon Run, medals and T-Shirts will be distributed personally at the Hangzhou International School.

Race Details & Rules:

5K race is open to 10 years and above. Children under 10 are permitted to run the race ONLY when in constant supervision by a REGISTERED adult.

Fun Run is open to ages 10 and under. All children need to have an adult present in case of emergencies. Adults are NOT required to register or pay to supervise the Fun Run. This year we will be continuing the HIS Dragon Run tradition with a Virtual Dragon Run which will raise money for The Library Project.

HIS is an IB World School that offers the expatriate community in Hangzhou an inclusive international experience and curriculum (Nursery to Grade 12) based on the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework. HIS is the first and only international school that is fully accredited by an international accrediting association and authorized by the IB.
