Gins from around the world, mixed with Tall Brothers Tonic Water (Shanghai) to produce more than 60 delicious (and photogenic) variations on this classic summer drink. For 18 days, you can journey citywide to enjoy gin brunches, tastings, guest bartenders, masterclasses and photo competitions.
杭州金酒环游将于6月10日开始，一直持续到28日，足足18天，尽情畅游。60多个优秀的酒吧、餐厅，40多款金酒，整整18天，保证让你一饮畅爽，直呼再来一杯！
What is Gin Journey?
什么是金酒环游？
For 18 days every bar makes a beautiful looking gin tonic using one gin and Tall Brother's tonic water. There will be a map of participating bars so guests can travel Hangzhou trying different gins. Every bar will have the maps to give guests AND a clipper. Each bar can clip their name when a guest arrives for Gin Journey. Daily two photo prizes will be given out of the more than 40 featured gins. There are also prizes for the most avid journey takers.
从18天期间，每家酒吧选择一款金酒和长脚兄弟汤力水，调制一款颜值优秀的金汤力。将有一张参与此次活动的酒吧地图，以便顾客可以环游杭州各酒吧，尝试不同的金酒。每个酒吧都将有若干地图可以分发给顾客，以及一个打卡器。当顾客参与金酒环游，每家酒吧可以用自己打卡器在地图的对应位置打卡。

MORE: Magnus, are you ready for Hangzhou? 小马哥，你准备好了杭州的巡游吗？
Magnus: Absolutely, we didn’t really see 60 bars and 40+ gins joining us but this event is really to get the F&B back on track, give customers something to look forward to and allow them to try new cocktails, gins and bars. 当然了！虽然最后距离60家酒吧和40多款金酒还差了一点点，但这次活动确实是为了让餐饮业重回正轨，给顾客一些值得期待的东西，让他们尝试新的鸡尾酒、金酒和发现更多的酒吧。
MORE: What’s surprised you the most so far? 到目前为止，什么让你获得最大的惊喜？
Magnus: The amount of interest in the Gin Journey event, the level of comradeship amongst all bartenders and how quickly the F&B scene has developed in Hangzhou and across China in the last five years. I get just as good cocktails in Hangzhou as I do in London and New York these days. 绝对时大家对金酒巡游活动的兴趣，所有调酒师之间的惺惺相惜，以及餐饮业在杭州和中国各地过去五年来的发展速度。我在杭州喝到的鸡尾酒的水平已经和伦敦和纽约一样好了！
MORE: How do you drink gin tonic? 你是怎么喝金汤力的？
Magnus: Gin tonic is like wine or beer, a classic, but you don’t always want the same one depending on the food, setting or weather. I tend to prefer dry gins as opposed to the floral types. If I were to make my perfect gin & tonic at home, I would use a big balloon glass, large -18c ice, a dry gin, cold Tall Brothers Tonic and garnish it with either lemon peel & juniper, lime slice & juniper or rosemary twig & juniper. That said, on a hot day I might add a bit of elderflower or blood orange syrup and other garnish for a more refreshing taste. 金汤力就像葡萄酒或啤酒，它是一款非常经典的酒，但由于食物，环境甚至天气的不同，你可能并不想只喝一种。我个人更倾向于比较干的那种，而不是带花香的那种。如果我想在家里做一杯完美的金汤力，我会用一个大大的红酒杯，加上零下18摄氏度的冰块，干金酒，冷藏温度的长脚兄弟汤力水，然后用柠檬皮和刺柏、青柠檬片和刺柏，又或迷迭香枝和刺柏装饰。也就是说，在炎热的天气里，我可能会加入一些接骨木花或血橙糖浆和其他装饰物，以获得更清爽的味道。

Hope Bar
Hope is for discerning guests that might prefer conversation, polite service and being remembered like an old friend. West Lake Station evokes imagery of a rail car on The Orient Express and their speciality cocktails are steam themed. The Chengxi store has recently been renovated and just reopened right now. As well as having very Instagram-able presentation, they use a lot of cocktail lab wizardry to produce their syrups and infusions. Both bars are great for a date night or when you feel like being treated.

The Antique Door 扉酒吧
The Antique Door located at 1F of Grand Hyatt Hangzhou is an indulgent, Art Deco-inspired drinking venue with two contrasting areas. On entering, guests discover a glamorous front bar in a pale palette of cream and grey beneath an eye-catching gold antiqued-glass ceiling. Dominating the space is a spectacular, 1.2-meter wide pendant light in the shape of an upturned tree. Floor-to-ceiling linen-damask curtains reveal a moody, hidden antechamber cocooned in a navy wall and ceiling mural and furnished with red leather tub chairs and plush banquettes. The drinks menu is focused on Champagne, sake, whisky and high-quality cocktails and entertainment is provided by live DJ.

Mixologist Lab 调酒学家
Mixologist Lab sits quietly by West Lake, this two-story transparent glass building is a bar with the combination of craft cocktail, creation, black technology and experiment. The bartender on the first floor is Lin Qingying who is the 2nd place winner of the best cocktail of Bacardi. On the second floor, cocktail research is carried out in the style of laboratory, which is produced by Chen Xi, a young bartender. Here, the craft cocktail (the fifth generation of handmade cocktails) is mainly created. High-quality spirits, fresh fruits, selected ice, appropriate accessories and exquisite decoration that bring the cocktails to another level. Through the separation and distillation of black technology, they extract fresh taste from a variety of ingredients, blend into cocktails, and give the mixologist more creativity and space.
Mixologist Lab就静静靠于柳浪闻莺身旁，整座两层楼的透明玻璃小楼是一个手工+创作+风味+黑科技与传统碰撞的超现实主义实验风融合的酒吧。一楼的bartender是今年百加得传世鸡尾酒亚军林清英。二楼以实验室风格进行鸡尾酒研究，由年轻的调酒师陈夕负责出品，这里主要创作Craft Cocktail (第五代手工鸡尾酒)。优质的烈酒，新鲜的水果，精选冰块，合适的辅料，精致的装饰，将出品提升到另一个level。通过分离蒸馏等黑科技与手工制作，从各种丰富多样的食材中提取新鲜味道，融入鸡尾酒中，赋予调酒师有更多创造力和空间。

1. Order a Gin Journey Gin & Tonic and the bartender will give you a map. 在参与杭州金酒环游活动的酒吧，点上一杯金汤力，调酒师会给你一张金酒环游打卡地图。
2. Join the WeChat group from the article by scanning the QR on the map or tent card. 通过扫描打卡地图或台卡上的二维码加入文章中的微信群聊。
3. Take a picture of your gin & tonic at the bar. Include the gin and the tonic bottle in the picture. 在酒吧中拍摄一张金汤力的照片，图中需包含金酒和汤力水。
4. Each day we will announce a “gin of the day”. 每天我们会宣布“每日金酒”。
5. The day your gin fits with the days gin send the picture in the group and add the bars name or location tag. 根据“每日金酒”发送图片，并且发送酒吧名称或是定位。
6. The following day we will announce the winner based previous days gin of the day. 第二天我们会在群聊中宣布第一天的获奖者。
