报告摘要
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have stimulated huge research interest in the application for water splitting because of their attractive characteristics of rich metal open sites, diverse topologies, tunable functionalities and large surface areas. In the context, we have successfully synthesized transition-metal-based OER catalysts by the strategies of doped substitution, reduction treatment and electrochemical activation to obtained an enhanced OER activity. By iron incorporation, the nucleation and growth of mixed-node MOF-74 was controlled, which can provide more open metal sites and electron-rich environment to facilitates efficient charge transfer for a significantly enhanced OER activity. NaBH4 is commonly used to generate abundant defects by its reduction property. The reduced MOFs generated sufficient inner defects, showing faster electron mobility and possess more low coordination metals to accelerate the OER process. Electrochemical activation is an effective method to obtain in-situ surface modification of MOF materials. The bond strength between center metals and coordinated water molecules can be modulated by introducing Fe, which expedited electrochemical activation and altered the free energy of adsorbed intermediates for a high OER intrinsic activity. These practical strategies to enhance the electrocatalytic property is significant to develop more efficient electrocatalysts.
个人简介
Cailing Xu received her Ph.D degree in 2006 from College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Lanzhou University. She was formerly a postdoctoral fellow from 2007 to 2011 at School of Physical Science and Technology, Lanzhou University. She worked as a visiting scholar in the University of Alabama from 2011 to 2012. Her group focuese on the development of electrochemical materials and the exploration of related mechanism, including the fieldes of electrochemical capacitor, electrochemical sensor, water splitting and electrochemical N2 reduction reaction.
