Recently, much progress has been made in finding the deep relationships between gravity and quantum entanglement, such as entanglement entropy, tensor networks and bit threads from holographic dualities. In the first part of this talk, we will introduce our recent work on a surface growth approach for the bulk reconstruction in the AdS/CFT correspondence, to build up the bulk spacetime geometry. We will show that this formalism can be explicitly realized with the help of the surface/state correspondence and the one-shot entanglement distillation tensor network, which provides a concrete and intuitive way for the entanglement wedge reconstruction. In the second part, we will give a new proof for the entanglement of purification by combining the ideas of the bit thread and the surface growth approach. In addition, by applying the locking theorem of bit threads, we also find a derivation for the partial entanglement entropy proposal. Moreover, we will also incorporate the bit threads with the AdS/BCFT correspondence to study the entanglement island, which aims to provide further insight into the black hole information problem.
