报告人介绍

Dr. Teng Jian Khoo currently serves as Trigger Menu and Signatures Coordinator for the ATLAS experiment at CERN. A native of Penang, Malaysia, he studied at Williams College, Massachusetts before completing a PhD at the University of Cambridge, where he was subsequently a Research Fellow. Then, he joined the University of Geneva, before moving to his current position at the Humboldt University of Berlin.Besides his contributions to the trigger, Teng Jian has worked in diverse areas of ATLAS physics,including searches for supersymmetry and top quark measurements, as well as reconstruction of jets and missing transverse momentum. His current efforts are focused on delivering high quality data for the Run 3 DiHiggs analyses.


报告摘要

The Observing pair-production of Higgs bosons would be key evidence for the Standard Model Higgs mechanism, and is one of the major targets at the Large Hadron Collider. This seminar considers one of the key search channels, in the decay mode to four b-quarks, and will discuss the challenges facing the analysis and how they can be overcome in the upcoming LHC Runs. Among the topics to be covered will be progresses in jet reconstruction and flavour-tagging, not only for offline analysis but also in the trigger system. A few highlights will be shown from the first week of physics collisions at the new LHC energy of 13.6 TeV.
