Vision and Mission

Young Green Tech (YGT) seeks to empower young entrepreneurs to address SDG environmental challenges through innovative actions. YGT  provides a public platform to help green startups scale and succeed through capital and legal consultancy, talent recruitment, training, mentorship, brand construction, and beyond, with the aim to inspire and accelerate their process to become world-changing companies and make greater contributions to global sustainable development.

Finalist enterprises will be recognized as YGT Companies and finalist individuals will be recognized as YGT Alumni. They will enjoy exclusive access to YGT's resources and network and be invited to join the YGT Global Final Competition. 

During the Final Competition, YGT Annual Winners will be selected from the finalists to receive the highest honors of YGT.

YGT finalists and winners will be invited to join the YGT community which spreads across over 40 countries and regions around the globe. Talent Acquisition

YGT finalists and winners will receive multi-tier support in talent acquisition, including hiring quality management trainees and selecting talents for senior positions. Finalists will also enjoy access to internal training by senior experts in the field, which can help devise a strategy for start-ups to build a talent pipeline.

YGT finalists and winners will become a part of the YGT Alumni community, which, after years of construction, serves as an important endorsement for the development potential of enterprises and the quality of entrepreneurs, and thus provides a strong boost to enterprises' future growth.

Access to Innovation Space

YGT finalists and winners will enjoy, with the most favorable price, access to YGT's innovation space in Suzhou and Beijing, China, which offers quality office space and provides a full range of corporate services centered around it.

Eligibility Criteria

Company & Team

• In early-stage development (pre-series C).

• In principle, we do not consider applications from non-profit organizations or teams without commercial registration.

• Have at least three staff members.

• Enterprise goals and objectives shall align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and business areas fall within the Eight Project Categories of YGT. 

• Participating enterprises must exhibit proper business operations and have a good social reputation.

NOTE: A special track (Life and Health) is set up for the 2023 YGT Competition in partnership with Meinian Onehealth Healthcare Holdings Co., Ltd. 

Items 2 and 3 above may not be considered for applicants for the special track; namely, startup teams or individuals in very early stages, especially those with doctoral academic background, are encouraged to apply.

Candidates

• Individual applicants must be founders, co-founders, C-level executives, and/or other core members of an enterprise. Founding members are preferred.

• YGT Finalists must be able to participate in the YGT Global Final Competition and related activities. 

• Chinese and English are the working languages of YGT. Individual applicants must be able to communicate and present their projects (the application materials included) via either one or both languages.
