专刊征稿:Sustainable Materials for Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cells

专刊简介

This focus issue has been launched due to the strong momentum of hydrogen energy technologies associated with the production from renewable energy and the utilization in fuel cells. Currently, renewable energy emerges and penetrates further into the energy market. Therefore, water electrolyzers can utilize “off-peak” electricity from solar or wind farms to produce hydrogen, which can subsequently be operated in a fuel cell mode to generate electricity or used as intermediates for other industrial applications. Compared to conventional batteries, the chemical storage of renewable energy in the form of hydrogen has advantages of high energy density, long duration, and more flexibility. 


征稿要求

本次征稿主题活动包括但不限于以下领域:

·Critical material development (e.g., catalysts, membrane/ionomers, porous transport layer, bipolar plates) for fuel cells and water electrolyzers operated in various temperatures and pH values.

·Advanced materials for photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting cells.

·Material degradation mechanism and accelerated stress testing protocols for fuel cells and electrolyzers.

·Multiple-scale computational modeling of materials from atomic, nano, to mesoscales.
