昨天一天，全国人民的心都被一个名词紧紧牵动着：新型冠状病毒肺炎（2019-nCoV）。
根据央视新闻报道，截止昨晚20时，我国境内累计确诊新型冠状病毒肺炎病例218例，其中，武汉198例，北京5例，广东14例，上海1例。
此外，韩国也报道发现首例确诊病例，泰国确诊2例，日本确诊1例。
今早，上海又确诊了第二例输入性新型冠状病毒感染的肺炎病例。
Health officials have identified the infection, which first appeared in Wuhan in December, as being a strain of coronavirus. They say it has led to an outbreak of viral pneumonia, but much about it remains unknown.

同时，世卫组织明确表示，目前不建议限制旅行或贸易，但正在为准备疫情爆发的国家提供指导。

在疫情最初爆发的武汉，在机场、火车站和长途汽车站，对旅客开展体温检测已经持续了近一周时间。

武汉市还进一步表示，接下来对所有离开武汉的人，都将进行筛查（screening）。
面对国内外对疫情的高度关注，习主席昨天做出了重要指示。
On Monday, Chinese President Xi Jinping for the first time publicly addressed the outbreak, saying that the virus must be "resolutely contained".
周一，中国国家主席习近平首次公开提及疫情，称必须“坚决遏制”病毒蔓延势头。
外交部发言人也在昨天的例行记者会上回应了疫情。
China has taken proactive measures to handle the situation, formulated strict prevention and control scheme, spared no effort to treat the patients, properly managed close contacts and carried out in-depth epidemiological investigations. Relevant departments of the Chinese side has also disclosed information and briefed the public on the development of the epidemic in a timely manner.
中方对疫情予以积极的处置，制定严密的防治方案，全力救治患者，做好密切接触者的管理，深入开展流行病学调查，对外及时发布疫情防治有关信息。
作为一名普通人，除了不恐慌不造谣不传谣，做好自我防护，是我们应对任何一次传染性疾病爆发的最有力的武器。
