China to test digital currency in four cities

China, which seeks to be the first major economy to launch a digital currency, is to trial a digital yuan in four urban areas – including payments of local government employees’ transportation subsidies.

The major cities of Shenzhen, Suzhou and Chengdu, as well as the Xiong’an New Area, will host as ‘internal closed pilots’.  

The three cities have a combined population of more than 38 million people. The Xiong’an New Area is a district and economic zone being developed by the government near the capital Beijing.

The currency will be used to subsidise transport in Suzhou, while in Xiong’an the trial primarily focuses on food and retail. The pilots’ aim in all locations is to “optimise and improve” functionality ahead of the wider rollout of the currency.

我们可以看到上面显示一张面值为一元人民币的数字货币，而这个数字货币同样附有一串序列号。截图还显示，用户可以通过这个官方电子钱包完成扫码支付、汇款、收付款、碰一碰支付，以及定向资金管理和钱包管理等功能。

可以肯定的是，我国发行的数字货币，就是人民币的数字化形势，他与目前区块链领域大家经常说的各种虚拟数字币有着本质的区别。

TIANJIN: 2 new asymptomatic infection cases reported

As of May 5th, 18:00, there were 2 new asymptomatic infection cases of novel coronavirus reported in the city. So far, of all the 54 imported cases, 53 have been discharged upon recovery and 1 are still hospitalized.

The 8th asymptomatic infection case, female, 22 years old, Chinese nationality, who lives in US. The patient took a flight from Los Angeles in the United States and arrived at Tianjin Binhai International Airport on May 4th.

The 9th asymptomatic infection case, male, 19 years old, Chinese nationality, who lives in New York, USA. The patient took a flight from Los Angeles in the United States and arrived at Tianjin Binhai International Airport on May 4th.

No imported suspected cases are undergoing test.No new locally transmitted cases or suspected cases were reported.

4 asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation right now, the health commission said.

天津新增2例无症状感染者！境外输入！

5月5日6时至18时，我市无新增报告境外输入新冠肺炎确诊病例。累计报告境外输入确诊病例54例（中国籍50例、美国籍2例、法国籍1例、菲律宾籍1例），治愈出院53例，在院1例（普通型）。

5月5日6时至18时，我市无新增报告本地新冠肺炎确诊病例。累计报告本地新冠肺炎确诊病例136例，其中男性73例，女性63例；治愈出院133例，死亡3例。

我市新增2例境外输入无症状感染者（均为中国籍）。累计报告9例（境外输入8例），其中解除在院医学观察3例、转为确诊病例2例、尚在医学观察4例。

第8例境外输入无症状感染者，女，22岁，学生，中国籍，居住地美国休斯敦。该患者自美国洛杉矶乘坐航班（CA988），于5月4日抵达天津滨海国际机场，入境时体温36.4℃，申报无疾病症状，海关检疫排查后转送至西青区中际佳悦酒店集中隔离医学观察点；5日鼻咽拭子核酸检测结果为阳性，经市专家组确诊为我市境外输入无症状感染者；现已转至空港医院进行医学观察，有关流行病学调查正在进行中。

第9例境外输入无症状感染者，男，19岁，学生，中国籍，居住地美国纽约。患者自美国洛杉矶乘坐航班（CA988），于5月4日抵达天津滨海国际机场，入境时体温36.6℃，申报无疾病症状，海关检疫排查后转送至西青区中际佳悦酒店集中隔离医学观察点；5日鼻咽拭子核酸检测结果为阳性，经市专家组确诊为我市境外输入无症状感染者；现已转至空港医院进行医学观察，有关流行病学调查正在进行中。

第4例无症状感染者（女，47岁，中国籍，法国输入）、第5例无症状感染者（男，29岁，中国籍，湖北武汉输入）于今日从空港医院解除医学观察，转入集中隔离医学观察点。

截至目前，全市无现存疑似病例，累计排查密切接触者3285人，尚有127人正在接受医学观察。

Chinese medicine LianhuaQingwen capsule proven effective for COVID-19

Traditional Chinese medicine LianhuaQingwen capsule has been proven effective for the treatment of COVID-19, China's top respiratory expert ZhongNanshan said in a webinar with overseas Chinese students on Monday.

"It's the first time in the world that we have enough evidence to prove LianhuaQingwen capsule is effective and can help patients recover," Zhong said, adding they have just finished an experiment and the results are promising and will soon be published.  

Zhong said that, according to the experiment, the traditional Chinese medicine can weakly inhibit the virus and repair cell injuries and inflammation caused by the virus. For patients showing mild symptoms, LianhuaQingwen would be more effective.  

For the treatment of COVID-19, the main effects of LianhuaQingwen are as follows: First, after taking the capsule, patients' symptoms improve quickly, two days earlier than the control group. Second, CT scan result also shows that patients recover faster than the control group. Third, the capsule can shorten fever time.  

有充足证据证明连花清瘟对新冠肺炎有效

“进行实验后，我有底气、有证据来说，连花清瘟真地有效。”5月4日晚，中国工程院院士钟南山应外交部和国家卫健委联合邀请为留学生答“疫”解惑时说。

钟南山表示，有充足证据证明连花清瘟对治疗新冠肺炎有效。他提醒留学生，假如有点发烧，就多喝水，吃点带过去的药物，比如日夜百服灵、布洛芬这一类药物，这些都是有效的，或者用连花清瘟。他透露，“刚刚做完一个实验，结果很快就要发表了，第一次在世界上用非常充足的证据证实连花清瘟有效，能帮助病人恢复。”

钟南山介绍，连花清瘟胶囊的成分包括麻杏石甘汤，再加上红花。他透露，这次实验做得比较认真。他们在P3实验室，让细胞染上新冠病毒。离体实验发现，连花清瘟胶囊对病毒抑制作用有一些，但是很弱。但是它的好处是，对病毒引起的细胞损伤、炎症有很好的修复作用。

连花清瘟胶囊有以下作用：第一，服用后患者症状改善得比较快，比对照组早两天；第二，患者CT片子的恢复得比对照组快；第三，患者体温下降有显著性差异，发热有时间缩短。但是，服用后能否使病毒转阴，实验组与对照组有缩短，但是没有显著性差异。钟南山说，80%以上患者都属于普通型新冠患者，连花清瘟胶囊比较适合普通的新冠肺炎患者。
