The Chinese mainland on Monday reported one new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 case in Henan Province, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Tuesday.

Also reported were 34 new imported cases, including nine in Shanghai, eight in Guangdong, seven in Zhejiang, four in Yunnan, two each in Fujian and Sichuan, and one each in Tianjin and Shaanxi.

One suspected case arriving from outside the mainland was reported in Shanghai as well, the commission added.
No new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported Monday, said the commission.

Beijing has been cleared of medium and high-risk areas for COVID-19 with the last medium-risk area being downgraded to low-risk on Monday.

The Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention said in an announcement that a residential community at Yancun Township in the district of Fangshan was downgraded to a low-risk area.

With the adjustment, the whole of Beijing is in the low-risk category for COVID-19.

The Health Commission of Ningxia has reported a confirmed bubonic plague case in capital Yinchuan, imported from North China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
The patient, a 55-year-old individual from Ordos, Inner Mongolia, is in critical condition at the General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University in Yinchuan.

Related areas and organizations have initiated emergency protocols in accordance with laws and regulations, conducted strict classification and prevention and control measures on related areas and personnel.

The Ningxia regional government initiated the level IV emergency response on plague prevention and control, demanding all efforts in rescuing the patient and the implementation of comprehensive prevention and control measures, so that the plague will not spread.

患者马某某（女，55岁，户籍为石嘴山市平罗县宝丰镇镇关村，现住内蒙古自治区鄂尔多斯市鄂托克旗乌兰镇查布公社，常年从事放牧工作），8月14日13时左右，出现恶心、呕吐症状，在鄂托克旗乌兰镇一诊所就诊；8月15日20时左右，由其子驾车接回平罗县城关镇，到金水湖畔心和堂诊所就诊；8月16日17时左右，再次到心和堂诊所就诊，20时左右到平罗县人民医院就诊；8月17日零时30分左右，由其子驾车将其送至宁夏医科大学总医院就诊，凌晨收住院；8月20日诊断为疑似鼠疫病例；8月21日确诊为鼠疫病例，病情危重。据央视新闻客户端消息，宁夏回族自治区应对输入性鼠疫疫情工作指挥部发布1号公告：宁夏回族自治区人民政府决定自2021年8月22日1时起，启动鼠疫疫情防控四级应急响应，全力救治患者，全面落实综合防控措施，确保疫情不传播、不扩散。
