The Happiest Pigs in the World!
We have something extra special for you today, some of the best pork you're going to find in China, or anywhere for that matter! Made from the happiest of pigs who have lived a life unencumbered by cages and with the freedom to roam the fields, and with no hormones, or antibiotics, used at all! If you're wanting pork that tastes like the pork your grandparents (or maybe great grandparents) ate, then look no further!
This is where our new partnership with Brydock Farms comes into play. Based in the north of Scotland, Brydock also have farms in the borders/Northumberland, and finish in Yorkshire in order to get some of that 'god's own country' flavour into their pigs. They also run their whole operation to the highest of animal welfare standards, gaining Red Tractor, RSPCA Assured, and BRC Food Certificated standards.
To start with we've chosen two great Brydock products to introduce to you guys, whether we expand that to a full range is pretty much down to how much of the stuff you scoff down. Eat great pork, get more great pork choices basically. Can't say fairer than that.
Pork belly is the most prized cut in a lot of the world, and the reason for this is all the flavour locked into those layers of fat. Whether you're sticking them in a marinade and onto the grill, using them as the go to cut of meat in your attempts at learning Chinese cuisine, or taking a mushroom and pork belly casserole to a pot luck, Brydock Farms' British Pork Belly Slices should be your first port of call.
"Brydock Red Tractor approved pigs are born in the North of Scotland...have been antibiotic free since 2015...[and are] born outdoors and are free roaming".
A classic component of the traditional meat 'n' two veg, these Brydock Farms' British Pork Loin Steaks will add a touch of class to any plate. Pair them with almost anything, from swede Colcannon, to rice and beans, or just a simple onion gravy, glaze them with apple (or cider), mustard, or give them a proper jerking if you are spice inclined. However you choose to cook them these Pork Loin Steaks, bursting with flavour, will have you coming back again and again.
"The temperate climate, sandy soil, and local straw, allow our pigs to exhibit natural behaviour. Such a high level of welfare means we have a consistent supply of healthy, natural pig meat from happy pigs. So happy, in fact, that they are RSPCA assured".
All of which fills us with the greatest confidence that you'll love both the quality, and the conistency, of their pork (they also cooked some for us when we paid them a visit; it were delicious).
