TLDR version: FOUR great new Sausage Roll flavours, as chosen by you guys!
Q: How do you make a sausage roll?
A: Push it down a hill!A while back (10th April to be precise), you may recall we had a Big Sausage Roll Vote. The votes have long since been counted, and we've been hard at work all summer perfecting the recipes for four (count them) banging flavours of Sausage Roll chosen by the great Breakfast Champion public! And, finally, we're ready to let our crumbly, meaty children out in public, proud of what they've become.
My packed lunch game just went up exponentially...So, what are the flavours?
Pretty much neck and neck, and way out in front, were Cumberland and British Pork, Sage, & Apple, in that order; anything with pork and apple in gets my vote to be fair.
And duking (or should that be 'Kookaburraing' this year) it out for third and fourth place were Aussie Beef & English Mustard , and the non traditional British Pork, Smoked Paprika, & Jalapeño.
My mind automatically goes to this when the words 'Aussie' and 'English' get put together. Cannot wait, although I have a horrible feeling Glen McGrath's prediction may be spot on this time...
