xiǎo qi ɡuǐ

小气鬼


Penny pincher

E.G:

Xiǎomínɡ,nénɡ jiè wǒ diǎnr qián ma?Wǒ xiàɡe yuè huán ɡěi nǐ.

A:小铭,能借我点儿钱吗?我下个月还给你。


(Xiaoming, can you lend me some money? I'll give it back to you next month.)


Bù xínɡ, wǒ yě kuài méiqiánle.

B:不行,我也快没钱了。


(No, I'm running out of money as well.)


   Hēnɡ, xiǎo qi ɡuǐ!

A: 哼,小气鬼!


(Hum, you are so stingy!)

dǎn xiǎo ɡuǐ

胆小鬼


coward

E.G:

Rúɡuǒ nǐ xiǎnɡ zhènɡmínɡ nǐ bú shì dǎnxiǎoɡuǐ,jiù cónɡ zhèli zǒu ɡuòqù bɑ.

如果你想证明你不是胆小鬼,就从这里走过去吧。

讨厌鬼


An annoying person;Nuisance


E.G:

Wǒ bùxiǎnɡ hé nǐ dāi zài yīqǐ, tǎoyànɡuǐ!

(I won't be with you, you nerd!)

捣蛋鬼  


Troublemaker

E.G:

Tā xiǎo shíhou shì ɡe lìnɡ rén tǎoyàn de dǎodànɡuǐ.

他小时候是个令人讨厌的捣蛋鬼。


(He was an annoying troublemaker when he was a child.)

爱哭鬼

E.G:

Jǐnián bùjiàn,nàɡe àikūɡuǐ yǐjīnɡ chénɡzhǎnɡ wéi yīɡe dǐnɡtiān-lìdìde nánzǐhàn le.

几年不见,那个爱哭鬼已经成长为一个顶天立地的男子汉。


(A few years later, the weeping ghost has grown into a man who fears nothing.)

jī linɡ ɡuǐ

机灵鬼  


Smart boy

E.G:

Tā suīrán cái wǔ suì, què yǐjīnɡ huì ná bàbɑde shǒu jī fā Wēixìn rànɡ māmɑ mǎi línɡshí huílai le.

A: 他虽然才五岁,却已经会拿爸爸的手机发微信让妈妈买零食回来了。


(Although he is only five years old, he’s already known how to send Wechat message with his father's mobile phone and ask his mother to buy snacks.)


Zhēn shì ɡè jī linɡ ɡuǐ.

B: 真是个机灵鬼。


(He’s really a smart boy.)

jiǔ ɡuǐ

酒鬼 


juicehead

E.G:

Tā jiùshì ɡe jiǔɡuǐ, yītiān méi jiǔ hē dōu bù shūfu.

他就是个酒鬼,一天没酒喝都不舒服。


(He's a d juicehead. He can He can't live a day without liquor.)
