The dedicated journey of food delivery man Mr. Gao has become an online sensation after climbing thousands of steps up to Mount Tai to deliver his order.

Mount Tai is a mountain of historical and cultural significance located in Shandong province. After hearing about his story, netizens rushed to share their support of the young man: “His spirit can’t be broken,” one said. “Give this man a medal!”

For reference, a flight of 7,200 total steps (including inner temple steps), with 6,293 Official Mountain Walkway Steps, lead up the East Peak of Mount Tai.

Mr. Gao was carrying a fruit basket ordered by the Hongmen Palace of Mount Tai for their blessing ritual.

Too busy to prepare food for the upcoming Double 11 festival, the customer who placed the order turned to his phone instead and asked for a fruit basket to be delivered to the Bixia Temple.

Although Mr. Gao did not intend to follow through with this unusual order at first, he eventually decided to help the temple and get some exercise while he was at it.

His story started a lot of heated debates online. Some netizens argue that food delivery men and women are increasingly asked to do more than their job requires them to do, with some tasks presenting to be far more tedious than they should have to put up with.

But as long as they’ve got the skills for it…

Below are some of the most unusual activities food delivery drivers have had to partake in.

Serious drifting skills!

Regardless of where you are, they will find a way to get to you. Even if it means taking a small boat.

They can play the piano.

They can also get off in a second when they’re really rushed.

And they can dance like pros.

 Playing mahjong

Cooking when the restaurant’s kitchen gets too busy

 They are agile

Ride...riding a horse

 Playing video games for clients

Washing cars

Jobs such as food delivery is in no way easy, and they often have to put up with annoying customers. But seeing how far some of those men and women are willing to go to provide a memorable experience, we’re reminded that we should show great appreciation and respect.

It’s the little things like these skills that can make our day.
