She Was so Nervous, She Drove Right Through a Wall...

Have you ever seen those orange cars with two big characters “教练" on the hood? It translates to “coach” or “instructor”, meaning these cars are most typically driven by people looking to get their driver’s license. If you have seen them, you’ve probably noticed that their cars are… not that new.

Chances are, a lot of Chinese drivers have had their fair share of bad experiences back when they were taking the driving test. Instructors will gladly blame you for anything wrong that’s happening during the test, and on exam day, a tiny mistake will get you a 0 mark. 

It’s very common for people to have to take their exam more than once.

As we have reported before, the annual college entrance examination is held on June 7 and 8. Every year, once the college entrance examination is over, lots of students will go on with their education into other popular institutions: driving schools!

Yay! More studying!

A girl in Chengdu started dancing and singing in her car out of pure joy after passing her subject 2 exam, but her excitement led her to take her hands off the steering wheel too many times. 

Due to the safety risks this behavior can bring, the instructor disqualified her… She had to retake it.

Many of you must probably relate to at least one of those stories. The feelings are mutual.

But that moment you finally pass the test and get to drive on your own… Precious.

It's definitely not easy to get a driver's license.

But once you have it, we hope that you make decent use of it by driving safely, obeying traffic rules, and not driving excessively fast.
