GiC Team GICexpat 2020-01-09

Many regions around China have been hit by very high temperatures recently, with heat waves expected to reach up to 40℃ in the north

Between July 2nd and July 5th, Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Henan and Shandong will be bracing themselves for temperature spikes up to 35-37℃, with some regions hitting the 40-degree mark.

China’s first typhoon of the year is expected to hit the coast of Hainan early Wednesday.

Strong winds and rainfalls will affect the South China coastlines, including most of Hainan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Jiangxi, as well as southern and western Yunnan.

Heavy rain will affect the southern part of Hainan island, near the Pearl River Delta in Guangdong, Fujian, northwestern and southern Jiangxi, while the southwest of Hainan will be experiencing torrential rain.

For now, Guangdong has called for an emergency response to the signaled meteorological disasters (typhoon) Ⅳ level.

Hainan maritime authorities have decided that the Qiongzhou strait route would be suspended from 12 AM on July 2.
