We all know that summer is here… I mean we can feel it!
Many Chinese cities temperatures have reached over 30℃!
Walking down the street, you’ll see the older generation loudly jostling over Mahjong tiles, dancing in the square, and children running in the park. But a sight I’m sure you’ve seen that isn’t exactly the most pleasant is grown men’s bellies. Yes, you know what we’re talking about…shirts rolled up over their big bellies.
This “Beijing Belly” is used to describe these men who use this “technique” to cool down in the summers.
One user uploaded photos to Reddit after her trip to China one summer. She captioned it, “have you ever seen a Chinese person roll up their T-shirt?”
