“从来”

（cóng lái）

always; at all times; all along; 

“从来”，副词，表示从过去到现在都这样，多用于否定句中。

“从来(always; at all times; all along)” indicates it's been the same since before. Normally it's used in negative sentences.

★ “从来不” VS “从来没” ★

●“从来+不+动词”cóng lái bù +verb  ：

   will never do "something"

●"从来+没+动词/形容词+过”cóng lái méi + verb/adj.+guò: 

 have never done "something" before/have never been + adj. before

Tā shàng bān cóng lái bù chí dào.

 他上班从来不迟到。

(He will never be late for work.)

zhè tiáo qún zi tài guì le ，wǒ cóng lái bù mǎi zhè me guì de yī fu 。

这条裙子太贵了，我从来不买这么贵的衣服。

(This dress is too expensive, I will never buy clothes that expensive.)

Wǒ cóng lái méi qù guò ChángChéng 。

我从来没去过长城。

(I've never been to the Great Wall before.)

Zuó tiān mā ma dài le wǒ qù hǎi biān ，wǒ cóng lái méi zhè me gāo xìng guò。

昨天妈妈带了我去海边，我从来没这么高兴过。

(My mum took me to the seaside yesterday. I've never been this happy before.)
