11 Majors with 100% Employment Rates in China!

Several majors at the university have recently been listed as very promising and lucrative down the line, with some achieving 100% employment rates upon graduation and others leading to annual salaries as high as RMB 500,000!

What majors, one must wonder, could possibly offer such thrilling opportunities? And what majors should you feel less excited about?

Professional employment rates reflect the job market demand for each major. Does/did yours fall within the following list?

Recently, the Educational Assessment Institute in Zhejiang province issued a report with 11 undergraduate majors from which students reached 100% employment success in 2017. Those include:

Investigation

Traffic management engineering

Dance performance

Economic crime investigation

Police command and tactics

Concerning foreign affairs police

Medical information engineering

Integrated circuit design and integration system

Pharmaceutical preparations

Eye Optometry

Art education

This particular major can earn you up to RMB 500,000 a year! 

Not only do graduating students care about finding a job but their starting salary should also be a concern. Luckily for some, entry-level positions in the field of artificial intelligence can turn out very, very lucrative.

How lucrative, you might ask? Well, it appears that multiple recruitment websites listing jobs for an “Artificial Intelligence Researcher” in China offer salaries of RMB 40,000 per month!

Lu, the Chief Technology Officer of an Internet company in Hangzhou, confirmed that a starting annual salary of RMB 500,000 is quite normal. "Artificial Intelligence Researchers are becoming more and more courted by large corporations, which are willing to spend a lot of money to recruit top talent. We expect more open positions like this in the future.”

This past year, some of the best and most well-known universities in China have jumped on the AI wagon to introduce related majors.

38 universities from projects 985 and 211 in China began to enroll students in AI majors, including the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the University of Electronic Science and Technology, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Sichuan University, Chongqing University, Wuhan University, Xi 'an Jiaotong University, Nanjing University, Tongji University and Shandong University among others.

Artificial intelligence is closely linked with informatics, computer science and technology, control science, software engineering, and statistical mathematics. As such, it makes transferring from any of these majors over to the research or study of artificial intelligence more convenient for students interested in this field.
