Man Defecates in Public Bus, but What She Does Next Shocks...

An old man got on a public bus sometime around noon on April 28 and looked a bit odd as soon as the bus began to move again. “He was moving very slowly,” the driver, Yang Dong, recalled. “I just thought he might be in poor health.”

Shortly after, a strong smell began to take over the entire vehicle. That’s when Yang realized the man had defecated right in the middle of the bus. 

Just as everyone was left completed in shock, unsure what to make of that peculiar, uncomfortable situation, a woman stepped up to wipe the floor clean.

“I was still driving so there wasn’t much else I could do,” Yang added. “That’s when I looked in the rear view mirror and saw the girl wrap up the old man’s feces in paper and wipe the floor around it, making it look as if nothing had happened.”

Although her own shoes had come into contact with it, she carried on with wiping the bits off without any complaint or resentment, just as if she was taking care of her own parents.

The driver eventually arranged for his commuters to transfer over to another bus, who helped the old man get off safely.

When Yang went over to ask the girl for her contact information, she refused to share it and decided to share a bit of wisdom instead: “It was nothing… Just a gesture anyone one of us can do. We all have an old family member who may not be doing well, and we have to take care of them no matter what.”

The driver was baffled, in awe of the girl’s kind heart. “It’s hard to describe how I feel,” he concluded. “It’s something that most people would feel disgusted by and avoid, and she had the courage and initiative to clean it up.”

It wasn’t long before the surveillance footage of the scene attracted the attention of millions of netizens all over the Internet.

She’s the perfect manifestation of how small acts of kindness can make the biggest difference in society.
